Damn, glad he made it through that. That happened at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA. At the last track day I attended I would come around that same bend at 140+, don't think I would have been as fortunate if I had lost it.
First time I saw that I thought the driver was dead. It is incredible...
Old vid but pretty impressive nonetheless.
I count 7.5 rolls, impressive.
More importantly, what is that smiley in your sig OP?
It may supposed to be beating a dead horse, but it's just not...quite...right.... |
Jay was that turn 1 he went off at?
Yes, I'm fairly certain it's turn 1.
Scary to watch. I'm glad the guy is ok.
I think I read somewhere that the car didnt have a cage or a bar? I could be wrong though. I know Subies are tough cars, my best friend had an 06 WRX that he flipped down a twisty by Mt. Diablo. Car rolled 5 times and landed on its lid, he got out just fine. Although he had a helluva time climbing back up to the road. Especially in the rain. So he bought another 06 WRX.

Yeowwwch.
Figured that was the video from the name of the thread. Impressive crash, especially to walk away from it.
The '04-'07 bodystyle impreza looks sooo damn good without a wing.
I used to wear arm restraints when I did track events in my Miata when it was open top. Solo I was what got me started with them since it was mandatory.
