Dude just buy a 360 and call it a day. If I had $1 for everytime i've heard the ps3 vs 360 argument i'd be building all of you guys' cars for you. You'll enjoy yourself since you like simulators and first person shooters. You may think that you may not get online with first person shooters but you will with the "must have" cod4 and eventually sims too with all of us playing forza3. Either of them will look good on your screen but you will not be dissappointed with 360. There wont be anything you still want from the ps3 anyways since you have a bluray player. For you the 360 is the better choice

 

GT5 is the reason I bought my PS3 in the first place years ago, and I'm still waiting. In the meanwhile, it's a good Bluray player and CoD machine, and I don't have to pay to use the network.

 

Has there been any meaningful comparisons between Forza3 and GT5?

 

Not really since GT5 is still a year out. Just looking as specs, and seeing how GT compared to Forza in the past, I would expect GT5 to overtake Forza 3. GT5 will likely lack car damage on all cars, and won't have some of the pretty bells and whistles that Forza has, but it will have a much larger car list and more tracks. Of course its online probably won't compare to 360, though I quite liked Prologue online.

Yes, but last I heard it wasn't all of the cars, only the select most used ones/popular ones, which is why I said not ALL. At least that was last I heard a month or two ago. They may have changed it again. Who knows, they keep pushing it further and further back. There for a while I thought maybe they had abandoned it completely. Graphics are really close, but I think GT5 has just a little bit extra realism in it somehow over Forza 3. I guess its in the eye of the beholder. If GT5 doesn't have new ******* tire sounds effects I'm going to fly to Japan and shoot up Polyphony headquarters. How hard is it to get a guy and a mic to go to a track and get some realistic tire squealing sounds instead of recycling the ones from as far back as maybe GT2!?
