Vg30e is cheap, actually lighter than the aluminum block vg motors and comparable to other 4 cylinder swaps. True they are not high revving without a lot of work but 7K is easily do able. The pistons and rods are good for 400+hp stock and you can swap in the forged rods from the DETT motor for cheap with some easy mods, pistons from a VK45 too maybe don't remember. The block is tough and they are made for big boost hell they have 13 head bolts per head. Nissan was making like 1100-1500hp on turbo versions for IMSA racing on modified vg motors.

You guys are looking at this all wrong. The blue car is a (structural) rust free Texas survivor/ old lady barn car with legit patina and a bad *** drivetrain that makes beautiful noises and will last forever. Looks like granny's daily driver, and sounds like a sport bike. It has all killer electronics and suspension. Everthing (except the bladder-less fuel cell, I guess) is done correctly, and with nice parts. This is old car gold. Plus he's asking half the price that the red car is going for.
BTW, the harnesses are bolted to the factory rear seat belt mounts. That's the safest place to put them on a 4 door 510 without a roll bar, as the b-pillars are too far forward to run a normal harness bar. They do the same thing with Mk1 and Mk2 Jettas/ Golfs.

an SR20VE would be my second choice after an FJ20(just too much of a pain to get parts here in the US). I would love to get some N1 cams or Kelfords and really make it sing. Even as it is it probably runs 13s or so it isn't slow. The suspension stuff is ok the Tech coilovers are just repackaged AGXs though aren't they.
The patina is cool and appeals to purists but cost is the ultimate arbiter.
You think he'd sell for 10K? seems like I remember he was asking like 15K and said not to bother him for less.
