I'd rather spend those >>OMG HUNNIDS<< of extra doll hairs and get something that I know I can rely on: a goddamn Colt and a goddamn Sig.
1. I've got five bucks that says you've never even seen a plumcrazy lower in person, muchless owned one, muchless know anyone who has owned one. LIFETIME WARRANTY. My best friend has a Class II FFL Type 7 SOT who has sold over 300 PC-15 lowers without a single failure. EVERY rifle he build for friends family and himself uses them. OH MY GOD, you can google PC15 failures and find thread on it! Yeah? You can google Glock and Sig Sauer failures too.

Money spent? What? The $99 purchase price and $12 for a new hogue grip because I hated the plastic piece of ****? Oh, Sorry, it doesn't come with a $200.00 match trigger either. Get real.

2. Throws off the balance of a rifle? See item #1. I put that lower on my Colt 20" upper and the point of balance was the exact same place with the bushmaster lower. The DPMS bull upper is nose heavy with the PC-15 lower, So ******* what? Its nose heavy with a standard aluminum lower and M16 stock too. I didn't build that rifle to carry anywhere, nor do I give one HALF of a **** what you think the balance is.

Judging by your obvious elitist attitude and complete buttfucking rude one-upping behavior anytime a gun of any kind is ever mentioned on this board, I'm just going to disregard anything further you ever mention in reference to a gun to that of a 12 year old boy's comment to a youtube video. I didn't have a problem with you at first but you're trying way too hard to be like Hustler and e-thug fellow gun enthusiasts anytime someone mentions something they've got. "Oh thats a piece of ****." "Sucks to be gay and broke." Sorry we can't all be trust fund babies with small ***** and a corvette with the gweatest firearms of all time. Some of us work for a living and have other financial obligations which places vehicles and firearms as a HOBBY, like you know, paying the ******* mortgage and electrical bill.

Why do I even bother replying to your fâggotry?

Couple random pl0x from my folder..

Friends recent purchase:

Ended up giving $1200.00 for that Barrett.

The more I've been looking at it, the more likely I am to tear it apart and make it black. Will that RIT Dye scratch off?

I haven't tried scratching it with something sharp but 1.5 years of carrying it haven't done anything to the color. I'm betting it soaks in pretty well. I haven't done a full disassemble of it in a while but I seem to remember the only slightly hard part of it was a spring that may have been associated with the mag release. Of course, it could have been the Walther P-22 I tore down around the same time. I can't remember. In any event, it is a pretty simple firearm. Yeah, it was the Walther with the tricky spring.

Oddly enough, as soon as I colored it I started wishing I hadn't. I kind of like fantasizing that someone would lie and try to report me for pointing my weapon at them when they see the print in my pocket. Then I could have the cop ask them to describe what color it was. They would never guess blue. Just stupid **** you think about when you are bored to death like now (all day)...

Here baby, I sent this to elesjuan:

Hater,

My homeboy bought a few because he loves testing low-end **** (Hi Points, Norinco Mossbergs, etc.) and I had the displeasure of shooting a dissipator, a varminter free float and an Adams piston flattop he built. He's a capable smith and I trust his work but I couldn't bring myself to like the pc lowers. I've got nothing against polymer, I like p mags and Glocks, but a lot of the hardware felt chintzy and made me puke. The buffer tube, one piece trigger guard, plastic fire control group, shitty finish on the driver's side. It just felt like a $100 receiver. I'd rather spend a few dollars more and get some of that good ole Al stuff, especially if I'm going to trust it with a Lightning Link.

As far as my posts, sure, there's a lot of conjecture in the world of e-guns, but I'm familiar with most modern firearms and I'm free to one-up any ******* who thinks sticking a folding knife through the trigger guard of his Springfield XD makes him a goddamn operator.

Judging by your posts regarding firearms, I think you're just envious. There's nothing wrong with it, there are people that I envy.

Enjoy prepping for WROL.

If you'd like to begin an intelligent discussion about firearms; here, I'll begin.

I'm looking into a Moisin-Nagant but before I pick up some cosmoline-smeared poo pile, I want the scuttlebutt from any bros who've some experience with them.

Sure, I've paid the big money for somma dem Mitchell's Mausers and I'm happier than a dong-stuffed Thai ladyboy with them but I want to start playing around with some nuggets. Can I expect Mauser accuracy?

You're right, I do envy the ability to buy exactly what I'd want. Fact of the matter is at this point in my life I'm not in the position to do so yet. That said, I do my research and buy the best bang for the buck type of items. Personally I was skeptical of a PC15 lower until it came in the mail. Yes, the plastic fire control system is something to be desired and no you can't replace the trigger guard. Maybe they've improved the F&F on their new items, mine was actually very nicely finished with no sharp edges or obvious finish issues. (The same can not be said for the ATI Stock I purchased for my Mosin Nagant.) Consider that we're talking about a COMPLETE lower receiver ready for an upper to be installed then rock-n-roll for a C-note when a bare Aluminum receiver can cost $400 with NO parts..

Mosin Nagants.. My opinions:
  • Hex receivers are over-rated
  • No sub-$300 mosin will ever be a collectors item, so mod the ******* thing how you like. It IS YOUR gun...
  • Mojo Micro-Click peep sights are a neat upgrade and rockstar at 50 yard targets with my blind ***
  • I think the trigger sucks but can deal with it.
  • Seems no matter how "clean" and "smooth" you get the bolt to operate, when the temp of the receiver goes up you're reduced to slapping it like a Russian Mail order bride.
  • Kicks harder than my Grandfathers 03 Springfield (WTF??)
  • Ammo tins are a ************ to open without their stupid tool
  • 440 round tins are usually under $90
  • Brass rounds will cost about $1 a round
  • I've seen brand new primed brass for $3 a case
  • Affords a lot of fun for what comes down to pennies

I'm planning on buying at least 3 more. Would like to have a completely stock one, one to refinish the original stock on and maybe replace the iron rear sight with a red dot, and I'd like another to drill and mount a scope on. Would like to see just how accurate the Rusky surplus ammo can be. Either way, I plan to bag a deer with mine this winter.

Mauser accuracy? I can't answer that. There are some people on youtube making some pretty amazing shots with stock scoped Mosins.

elesjuan made good points, but I'll toss in my 2 cents anyway.

They're cheap. As in thrown together. You may get a good one, you may get crap. Expect to have to tweak parts for fit and function. Finish may be hit or miss as well. Expect the stock to be beat up a bit. I bought two, took the best parts off for mine, and sold the other one.

They kick. Holy ****, do they kick. A friend has a WWI 8mm Mauser, and I have a 7mm Rem Mag, and it's comparable to both. Not the thing for a full day of shooting unless you like bruised shoulders.

Accuracy is decent, but you probably aren't going to win any matches with them. Far better than an SKS, but that's not saying much. Good for plinking. Never hunted with it, but it's probably suitable for it if you're so inclined.

Ammo is cheap, but mostly corrosive stuff. That in itself is a pain, but not a deal breaker. Russian/eastern Bloc stuff is better than the chinese for about the same price. Buy in bulk and you can plink for cheap, although it's getting harder to find the really cheap cans. I used to buy full cases for less than $100, but i think it's about double that now.
