No sunglasses at night, no tacticool gloves, just some badassery with a G19.

My goal is to be that proficient with mine.

Nice to finally have a defense handgun that's better than me.

I'll run up there and check before they close today. Kinda pissed about that, should've gone yesterday like I normally do on Mondays. *******. Need some powder anyway.

Btw...

Went to pickup my glock, completed the 4473 and got delayed like clockwork.

If I could shoot my Glock half that well, I would join the circus.

Dammit, Damon. Now I want one. Thinking about selling my Saiga/AK and Steyr M9-A1, grabbing a Sub2K/G19 combo, and then building up my Lone Wolf G17 frame and Plum Crazy AR lower.

Knowing I have 30+ rds on tap, and that I'll still have some semblance of hearing left after unloading all of them, is kinda nice.

Went to the range today without my newest purchase (**** you Bill Clinton!) and had a significant amount of fun. Burned through about 700 rounds of .22lr and about 100 of .223. Discovered with the new scope on my Marlin Model 60 (.22lr) I can actually make repetitive and fairly accurate shots @ 175 meters. Nailed 2 clay targets sitting on the berm, then zero'd my AR15's new scope with .22lr at 100 meters then moved straight to 200.. Not as accurate which I believe is because of the .224 bore, but still managed to hit every round on a 12" x 12" steel plate.

Collected some interesting data today. All shots tested @ 10' from barrel, 77*F, 30.95, 43% humidity:

Fired from an H&R Break action single shot rifle, 16" Bull barrel

Herter's (TulAmmo) .223 55gr FMJ Boattail

Winchester 36 grain plated hollowpoint

Keltec PF9

Sellier & Bellot 115gr FMJ

1. 942fps
2. ???
3. ???

I'm sitting at a solid bench firing from a gun rest a semi-automatic double action only pistol and hit a 2mm wire dead center 11 feet from the muzzle. Have been known to pull shots to the left before but jesus, I shot the ******* Chronometer. Oops.

About the .22lr Ammo.. Winchester was the white box 525 bulk pack (Same thing you can get at walmart in the 555 pack) and is 100% reliable. Blew through an entire box of it without a single failure of any kind in both my AR and the Marlin. The Remington ammo is complete ****. The marlin holds 18 rounds and guarantee 2 of every magazine won't fire for one reason or another. Out of battery, fail to feed (which usually bends the round in half), or just plain goes "click." Dropping the hammer without firing the round typically has a nice size dent in the rim but never goes bang, however every one of those will fire in the AR.

Been reading a bit.. ~1200fps seems to be the **** fps for most guns unless the bullet is aerodynamically made to fly straight.

Reading through this thread as an Australian it's kinda scary to see that the general public can get hold of weapons like this. My old next door neighbour was an American bloke, he hated lving here due to the fact that he couldn't "sit at home with my glock in one hand and my colt in the other, and wait for some piece of **** to break into my house."

Yeah, terrifying. Go argue gun control somewhere else.

Nice, what's your take on guns in USA? Does everyone think like my old next door neighbour over there, or are people actually normal? I can understand target shooting, hunting, etc but home defense?

I love them, sometimes I leave my front door ajar with a trail of gold coins leading inside just so I can rid the streets of some criminals.

Seriously, go debate this elsewhere.

This is not a political thread, go argue somewhere else. Who are you to decide whats normal or abnormal? Your neighbor probably just said that to **** with you anyway, it's fun to troll pussies.
