Yeah notice the expression on my face. She's from Jersey (You know. That place where they think guns are like rattlers and if you get within striking distance it'll get ya) and that was the first time she'd ever shot/seen/held a gun. She's actually a bit of a natural. She was consistently hitting beer cans at 15 yards after a few minutes of shooting. My other freinds couldn't get past the close-eyes-and-flintch-before-pulling-trigger stage.

I lul'd at your expression.. Its not uncommon for women to shoot naturally far better than men. Typically they don't have anything to prove so they're not going to try and impress everyone with their l33t blackops marksmanship..

Looks like a Kahr PM9. Best CCW pistol there is, IMO.

Edit: Women typically take any criticism or pointers about shooting where so many men won't take ANY Suggestion. I think that show TopShot on History demonstrated that sometimes..

Really? I couldn't tell by looking at the way she seems to be hovering around the rifle.

You're correct. I love it. It met all my requirements: 9mm, single stack, quality manufacturer, reliable. I think its only jammed once out of >500 rds. I say I think because the person using it at the time didn't know what they were doing and I think it was user error.

Kahr makes a damn nice gun... We sell QUITE a few of them at my buddy's gun store. I will post up a pic of my CCW tomorrow when I'm not posting from my phone...

This is my carry piece. It met all my requirements: .45, single stack, best manufacturer, more reliable than a Catholic priest in a confession booth. I've never experienced a malfunction in the 5k+ rounds I've put through it since I received it as a gift when I was 15. Sure, it's been completely redone twice but it's NEVER failed me. Not once. Not even with shitty surplus ammunition.

I keep this bitch under my hat:

LoL.. I remember those things. They're selling them again under a new name now, but I can't remember what it is. For those who don't know, Winchester had to stop selling them because the NAACP made it sound like they were "designed to kill black people."

Ninja edit: They're “Ranger SXT” now, but same great JHP Performance. Best JHPs sold, too.

Don't get me wrong- I really like Sigs, I'm just not willing to pay for them. IMHO there are plenty of pistolas that are just as reliable for half the price.

It's ok, being a broke-ass fagggot sucks.

Okay. I have 2 AR15s for what one of your Sig's cost new. Thanks, I'll buy something else just as good for half the price like I said.

Herp derp, that's the most asinine argument ever.

What? That I bought one complete quality AR15 and built another complete quality AR15 for under $700? Personally I think it makes perfect sense...... Why spend 10 grand on a 2000 honda civic when I could spend 2000 on a 2000 Mazda protege thats just as good of a car?? That car has 275k miles on it, now.

Oh look, a cell phone case...

Please give me the specs on that $700 AR build. I want to establish your idea of "quality".

DPMS Panther 20" Bull Barrel upper receiver $429
Plum Crazy Firearms Lower receiver $99

Rem 700 used $250.00, traded for Colt AR15 upper / bushmaster lower

My bad, it was ~780 for both. Still built a quality AR15 for under $700 anyway when you factor in the $19 Badger Changing handle latch, $50 Leupold scope rings, and the $99 simmons 6.5-20x50 scope.

Going to pick apart the lower receiver now because its not some gay ass spikes tactical branded piece that cost 890$?

Bush Master AR-15 .223. Bone stock. Nothin fancy. Paid $900 before tax brand new like 3 years ago. Its my baby. I feel like it aims itself. I origionally wanted a flat top upper but honestly I dont think I'll ever mount a scope.

I'd never buy anything "tactical" because that shit is gay. The best goddamn AR ever built is the Colt H-Bar of old. I don't give a fuck what any of you haters say, it's the #1 end all be all AR.

These 5.45 uppers have my intrigued and I'm about to do something totally out of character and build a non-Colt AR but I'm not going to stoop to the level of that Plum Crazy shit. The amount of cash spent to replace all the shitty "money saving" aspects of the lower make it not even worth the time and/or effort.

I'm not even going to comment on how shitty it feels and how much it ruins the balance of an otherwise semi-perfectly balanced rifle.

I'd rather spend those >>OMG HUNNIDS<< of extra doll hairs and get something that I know I can rely on: a goddamn Colt and a goddamn Sig.

mgeoffriau 07-20-2011 09:51 PM

Geez, I must be a dumbass to rely on my Plum Crazy, my Saiga AK, my Kahrs, my Steyr, my Lone Wolf/Glock, my Ruger, my S&W, my NEF, my Kel-Tec...

By the way, it's a SIG, not a Sig. I sold mine, the trigger sucked and it wouldn't feed JHP's reliably.

If you're going to gripe over spending an extra $200 on a rifle so you can try to hold some sort of moral high ground over people who prefer a brand or configuration because you feel you've got some great value, you're a mark-ass trick. It must be fun to walk into gun stores and try to tell people who are spending their own goddamn money on a rifle that they could have saved so much cash and bought xyz. My old man likes Bushmasters and I always think it's hilarious when his XM15 doesn't work because they're all huge turds.

Yeah, it's SIG LOLZZZZ. If you want to get all technical in this mofug, it's actually "Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft". I'm sorry your ///SIG/// was so terrible, I've been nothing but happy with every one I've owned except for my Mosquito which required about 10 mins and a Dremel to get 100%.

I love my Mini-14s and my Mini-30, AC-556 is a fucking BEAST and Ruger will still happily service it (only manufacturer who will still service machine guns).

I'll buy cheap shit from time to time, but I'm not going to rely on it for much more than shooting dirt or the occasional boar.

We can go back and forth for years and you won't be any more correct than I will, I was merely stating an opinion I've formed after 20 years of firearms usage. The fact is that of all the weapons I've had pass through my hands, I've yet to end up with a real lemon... other than the Saiga 12 I got as a gift 10ish years ago. That was a total pile of shit.
