Good news guys......
I dropped my Fuji Finepix A340 to day and broke it....
The lense, zoom was extended and when it hit it kiltered the lense, now it will not extend or retract.
So I am in the market for another small digital camera
I want something simple to use. Also would perfer if it used AA or AAA batteries
Ideas or suggestions????

You can have my older Canon Powershot SD700 IS if you want.
2GB SD card, 6MP, rechargeable lithium ion batt.... IMAGE STABILIZATION.
It's been dropped a few times, got some scratches on the outside but works fine. The GF's camera is way nicer, so I have just been using that for taking pics now.
takes close up pics pretty well...

Canon Powershot. Small, easy to use, very good reviews, and fairly cheap, what more could you want.
My GF and I bought one about 1.5 years ago, pretty much never used it, and we'd probably be open to selling it, interested? Could save you a few bucks.

I live close to the Publix in Navarre... if you're in the area I'd be more than happy to meet up or if you wanted to stop by and get it. You can see the sad, dismantled Miata lol.

Check out the panasonic cameras as well.
They use Leica lenses (and actually, the Leica cameras are re-branded panasonics).
I've had a couple of the panasonics and they have been great. I have an Olympus waterproof / rugged-ized camera that is expensive as hell, but just doesn't work as well as the panasonic.
