Youtube sucks and has sucked for a while. Not only do they compress the fuck out of videos, they are constantly changing the layout to make it harder to navigate! On top of that there are ads everywhere. If they didnt have such a huge collection of videos I would never go to their site. Vimeo FTW.

they probably dropped the volume to better utilize the limited dynamic range of the audio track.

I thought this thread was going to be about the scum that lurks in the comments of all youtube videos.

I'm not too big a fan of the new layout either, but haven't notice any crazy volume issues.
