IMSA car are excessive, but I don't know if the style works as well on a Z-car as it does on old american muscle. The extended hood and huge rear flared quarters just don't work for me.

The page actually speaks of the fascination with the IMSA 935s. Yes Porsche- but everybody was doing the same thing- install largest wheel/tire, then make BIG fender:
