Wow, that's kind of like in that movie Red Planet with Val Kilmer and ****, rly. That's pretty cool, I see some great automotive applications in that technology.

good luck sony.

oleds at this stage are a bit worse than plasma for life and burn in.

but they are low power and high brightness/contrast.

I've actually got some oled microdisplays (800x600 about a half inch across) around my desk that have seen burn-in happen in under 10 minutes.

once the technology is more developed though they should kick some serious ***. right now they can't consistently produce displays bigger than those little sonys because its too hard (expensive) to keep flaws out of the larger sizes when they grow them.

they will get there...SONY is badass
how much will those run once they are fully functional without major flaws

Sony is NOT badass. Any tech they come out with will be proprietary and will fail. History says so.
