Default Cop camps in left lane, does brake check

Watch An Out-Of-State Cop Brake Check A Driver On The Highway

If I were the driver of the Volvo on the right, I'd have slowed down to create room for the guy with the camera to pass.

And the cop was found at fault but wasn't ticketed. Surprise surprise.

Welcome to South Carolina mother ******!

Cops always drive like asshats in this area. They ride your ***, blast pass you, but as soon as there is anyone behind them they drive like they are 90 years old.

This is from the picture thread.

Every inch of posted 60mph area here is 70-75. The cop definitely should have been ticketed for impeding the flow of traffic, and for leaving the scene of an accident.

Wow that scared me.

If i was in that big truck, and was filming. I probably would of ended up putting him into a spin.

0:56...that looks like 60-61 to me.

How does an officer explain unreported vehicle damage?

So since I posted the video in the Random pic thread last and this thread has been made I can give a few updates from what I have heard. I work off that first exit that is seen in the video. The part where the guy passed them is not even a "real" lane of the highway. It is an entrance ramp and exit ramp that is very long. That highway is 2 lanes wide the whole length of the highway. So if you get someone holding up traffic like that it can make it impossible to get around and slow down everyone. Here is a link to the local news with the story. The officer has since then tendered his resignation, which I still find unacceptable. I have personally put in a call to the local North Charleston Police Department saying that as a resident I want charges filed for a hit and run. The NCPD has been getting slammed with phone calls over this so hopefully they actually do something.

While you are at it, please help report the guy who took the video, so that he can get help with his Vertical Video Syndrome.

Also I wonder how it would have gone down had the guy not been recording it?

Here is another link to some more info about it. Someone claims they figured out who Chad is and what he drives and his previous records. If that is the correct Chad then yes he is a dumbass in general, but that does not excuse the cop for his reckless behavior.

You guys have it all wrong. This video doesn't tell the whole story, you should hear the officers story before you judge!

Just so people know it is not illegal to pass on the right in SC, it is illegal to hold up traffic in the left lane like the officer was doing.

generally speaking, holding up traffic at any speed is a ticketable offense.

but the brake check is pretty reckless.

Anyone else here would've slowed down if he were the vulva driver? I've done it while hauling furniture, and some dumbass decides to camp on my left.

That's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

I don't care if it is illegal to pass on the right in Indiana, I'm not sitting behind a train of 40 people in the left lane with nobody in the right lane. I wish more of these tickets were given out.

Maybe you should have done something that would ACTUALLY make you safe, like moving out of the passing lane.

Saw this in the random pic thread the other day. Just another example of police douchebaggery.

**** the police.
