Thumbs up Attn Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island & Massachusets people

About a month ago I went to Texas for a week and I met with a bunch of miata people and the whole time I've owned a miata in CT (5 yrs) I've only met two guys (Vash and Rain). I feel like us northeast guys should be more outgoing. So I was thinking let's have a ******* meet already! we could meet maybe around New Haven and take route 1 all the way up to the casino or something similar. It's a nice curvy road with lots of shade. Let's do it! I was thinking Oct 3rd. That way people would have a month to finish their cars and make it a plan. Let me know guy! Stop being so new England grumps and let's go for a ride. Any other ideas are cool as well

This was kind of short lived... I think it's a good idea. I'll be back in NY in time for winter.. but if some people want to get together this spring that would be awesome. I will to drive just about anywhere.

Maybe in the more distant future we could try and do a meet a little bit further south and see if we can pull in some people from IL, OH, VA, PA etc.. maybe get like 20-30 people total and make a weekend out of it.

I will be renting a warehouse for working on my miata.. it's not huge, can fit 3-4 cars. I have a ton of tools.. if anyone needs to do some work and needs space/tools let me know, although I'm pretty far from anyone I think (Watertown/Syracuse area). I will have a badass space heater for the winter months too!

Dude, you will need it up there, probably starting now, in fact!

Thanks for your service, btw.

Haha, don't remind me! For some reason I keep thinking I'm going to return to some warm and sunny place... I guess it's better than winter in Afghanistan, pretty much everything beats sitting on top of a mountain during a blizzard.

my **** is still leaking. oil isnt too bad but coolant is. Its a simple fix, its the water pump inlet. I should get around to it soon. I am still driving it around once in a while and doing some tuning.

I am free the weekend of the 3rd. The following weekend I am dynoing the car with the Uconn Car club i run. I am also free the weekend of the 17th. Dependinig on the cars condition i might not want to go too far.

I've been giving the bodyshop guy **** everyday so he's been working on it. I hope to have it finished by the weekend if he can handle working on it for more than 1 hour a week.

I feel like its been so long and everything is changed now that its gonna be a completely different car. I'm excited as ****, but still a little numb about it seeing there's still much to do.

Hopefully I'll be ready by the 3rd. If not I'm down to get up whenever.....I just need a car. lol
