We are putting together a time trial series to be hosted by Speed Ventures. This is HPDE, not autocross.

We're looking for a few local SoCal volunteers to work as series admins, It will not be operated by 949 Racing like the Miata Challenge series was years ago.

I'm psyched for this, it is definitely increasing the momentum of my build. Now I just need to find the funds for everything. Tires next I think - I just peeped at the date codes on my RS4s and they're from 2020. Definitely overdue.

Working on logistics to try to attend a couple of the MTTC events from out of state, and have a some questions that I haven't found answers to on the FB group:

The MTTC page registration link takes you to the Speed Ventures Event registration... can't click through to see anything beyond the first page without creating a login. Does the track day fee cover the MTTC entry, or is that an additional cost? I'm assuming the SV event fee is for a single day?

'Practice' laps during the normal Speed Ventures run groups? Need to register for a particular group? Is MTTC broken out into it's own session for competition laps?

Those are all questions that should be asked in the fb group. I imagine you aren't the only one.

AFAIK, no separate entry fee.
Entries are per day
It's a traditional HPDE event so you get 4-5 sessions per day
MTTC will probably not get its own session but that's up to SV on the day, depending on turnout

I rummaged around on the FB group for a while, but didn't find anything... much harder on that format to find information without starting a new post. I'll ask over there and post the answers here as well.

That's my point, ask the questions. That's precisely why I created the group. No one uses forums any more really. It's sad but that's how it is. FB has no archive and search sucks but it's where people go for stuff like this now.
