Obama says that schools with confirmed swine flu should consider closing... that'd get me out of my crapass classes, and my thesis. Bring on the flu!

As an aside, so long as I don't share too many bodily fluids with y'all, we should be all good. Being a Miata event, I know that'll be tough. We must all show restraint.

As another FYI, if you go into/through downtown Newark, watch out for the loud muffler checkpoints. Not kidding.

I'm in Falls Church and google maps says it's about 2 hours from my house, so I was planning on leaving around 7 or shortly thereafter. Haven't heard anything about an organized drive but I'd be game. Wouldn't make sense for anyone in DC to drive all the way out where I am before heading north though. Somewhere along the north side of the beltway (Bethesda, Silver Spring area) would probably make a better location for an organized departure if people are scattered around the metro area. If it's just NoVA peeps then somewhere near Tyson's Corner would probably work.

You are going to Florida to see your sister in law's graduation...damn. I didn't go to my brother's cause that was in south jersey. I almost didn't make it to my own cause it was on the other side of campus.

You are nuts.

Back to the topic, who is the contact person if this is canceled by the dyno operators due to weather? Is something going to be posted here tomorrow morning?

Nobody else has chimed in so it looks like just you & me so far. I will PM wrxnova. Anybody else? Sheuind?

There's a Dunkin Donuts close to where 95 splits off 495. The address is 9701 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD 20740. Looks like there's a gas station right next door too, and it's a quick hop onto 95 from there. Meet at the DD say 7:30-7:45 ish?

Mint. I was just gonna ask what time this shin-dig starts. I don't think I'll be there at 9AM, maybe at like 10-11ish? Pizza...the sound of turbo'd miatas blowin off on dyno's...sounds like heaven to me. All we'd need are cigars and Yuengling products, and I'd never leave! I've had my trunk packed with miata related **** since Tuesday night! What do you guys want me to bring? Soda? Chips and Salsa? Beer? You name it, I've been looking forward to this party for months, and I have all my **** together with my car at the perfect time.
This dude at work (Nancy) just bought a 1990 Mustang GT with a 306 and a trick flow top end, I think 3.73 gears and a good clutch, and some other goodies. I know a guy who has a very similar setup and he runs 13.0. Anyway, me and "Nancy" are set to race tomorrow night (weather permitting), so anybody willing...please help me to make sure my setup is good enough to spank this "I signed my credit application and bought a fast car" work buddy, so when I go in Sunday night I don't get laughed at. My guess is he'll run high 13's since he's owned the car for about a week and doesn't know all the feel of it.

I never deny being nuts.

But I haven't worked in three months, my parents bought the airplane ticket, I can stay at my bro's house, and Sunday is a free day at the beach. So why not go?

Granted, I misread the calendar re: dyno day. :( I wanna know how much power this thing makes @ 15 psi as much as you do.

Yeah you're probably right. I'm not dynoing so I don't need to be there right at 9. I'll be at the DD around 8:15 and take a couple minutes to grab a donut and gas up. If we leave around 8:30 that should put us there around 10. I'll PM you my cell in case there are any issues meeting up.

I should have coffee and/or donuts and/or some other form of breakfast food. Depends what time I make it to Dunkin', whether the Miata starts properly or whether I have to drag it there with the pickup, etc. And how much I feel like spending. Just blew a bunch of money at the ballpark with the GF.
