any NE FL ppl here? Jacksonville area? speak up! :)
just wanted to see whos there.
thanks. |
I'm from Jax originally, family is still there. I visit whenever I can. When I do, I tend to stick around East Arlington /Regency area. I miss that city like hell.
There are a couple members across the river, but they're not very active. I might be forgetting some too. |
I lived in jacksonville with my aunt when i was 3, moved to Hawaii when I was 4. I miss it there.

cool straying from the real point guys....... I'm in St Augustine there a few others in st johns look around

just picked up a 90 with an FM2 and LINK on it... at least thats what im being told. thread here: Now you all can welcome to the club. Got me a 90. Pics inside! - MX-5 Miata Forum |
Not sure what you mean by "straying from the point" hellfire...
Pasha - There are a few more FI Miatas in the Jax area but a lot of them aren't registered here. If you go to the autocrosses at Whitehouse or the Corvette Club events, you'll likely find them. |
cool, thanks..
i know of one.. but its now in Cali... for a sec i thought you were the guy, but i think that one is a red 90 with a hardtop, greddy kit and megasquirt. |
I'm down off of Racetrack Rd. There was another thread about a GRM challenge car where a few folks chimed in as being local... Here's a link...

Err, mine is a red 93 with a hardtop, Greddy and a Megasquirt... ;) And I had it shipped out to California pretty recently too. If the one you remember was being driven either by a 6' white guy (me) or a smaller Mexican dude who works at Osteen VW, Mine's the one. Doesn't sound like a coincidence!

when i get my car up and running, we need to meet so i can pick your minds. :)
Does anyone know of anyone in Jax runing LINK ECU? thanks. |
I live in Macon but go to school in Valdosta so im maybe 1hr away
|
Small world, eh OP?
I know of one person in Jax running a Link, last I saw his car was a red '96 with an FM stroker and FM Ubercharger (which replaced his stock 1.8/turbo setup). His name is Gary and he lives on the west side and can usually be found at the Whitehouse autocrosses and possibly the Corvette club events. |

thanks.

Ive run with the corvette club down in st. augustine. It was pretty fun and its a pretty cool track. I think its used for training the police to drive defensively or something
|
That track is awesome, BRSCCA runs there sometimes too, great little course.
The small road course next to Gainesville raceway is great too. I've only ever driven on it in an SM2 EG hatch with R-comps (good setup there) and it was a blast. |
oh.. one more question.
at these autox events, are spectators welcome? |
