Cool . Rocky hill didnt get much. Maybe ill venture outside in a bit and take a pic of the miata & MINI

astroboy 01-08-2011 09:46 AM

We got like 6" at best over here. Have fun digging out!

Cspence 01-08-2011 09:51 AM

We got like 8" in Meriden....way more than the 1-3" they were originally calling for lol! Not quite as much as miatamike though, damn!

Its funny...when they say a storm is going to be small, its huge, when they say its going to be huge we get nothing

miatamike203 01-08-2011 10:13 AM

it seams the closer to NYC the harder you got hit

astroboy 01-08-2011 11:07 AM

I just finished digging out and it is more like 4" Makes for a nice effect and small amount of work.

miatamike203 01-08-2011 11:49 AM

LOL I just started my car and drove it out of the snow then cleaned and put it back. We ended up with a good 12-14inches.

Vashthestampede 01-08-2011 01:52 PM

We got about 13" here. The plow guy didnt show up and I had to shovel the whole thing. This is a driveway that is probably...350ft or more with a large parking area by the garage. I could've killed the fucking guy lastnight I was so mad! :vash:

astroboy 01-08-2011 01:57 PM

Wow, that sucks. Did he show up rite when you were finishing?

He came about 1 hour after I had finished and was already changed and drinking a coffee watching tv. I was debating going outside to talk shit, but I knew it wouldn't be good. lol

Luckily I dont pay him, otherwise it would be a different story. The people we rent from go to FL for 6 months out of the year and this is their plow guy. So we get to chill out on 7 acres of nice property, but have to upkeep it when the "help" doesn't show up.

miatamike203 01-08-2011 05:30 PM

That sucks we have a drive way just 30 feet under a 1/4 mile. The plow guy we have ended up getting stuck in the front lawn trying to turn around and took out a bush and a jap maple tree. So that was the last time they are coming again.

astroboy 01-08-2011 09:16 PM

That sucks man. That guy would not be getting paid if he did that in my yard. You guys ready for round 2?!

6:30 am. rt 99 was plowed, rt 9 WAS NOT. in fact the on ramp in cromwell (about .5 miles long) was not plowed once. I had to "plow" thru 12" of snow just to get on rt 9!!!

MINI + Snow Tires = epic

astroboy 01-12-2011 10:03 AM

I just spent an hour carving a path from my door to the road and garage. Shall be a great day to work on my wiring :D

Cspence 01-12-2011 10:34 AM

Where the fuck were you going that you had to get on rt9?! I'm not going fuckin anywhere for a while......just spent the past 3 hours shoveling, now I'm headed to wrap up the miata repairs. I can't believe how much we've gotten, probably a solid 20" in Meriden right about now...there's probably more in other parts of the state though!

240_to_miata 01-12-2011 11:06 AM

I had to go to work in portland. I live in rocky hill. Took 99 all the way to Cromwell and then got on 9 for 1 exit

That bridge was SKETCHY

I'm surprised you had to work...my plant never shuts down, but even they decided to call it off for today

Cspence 01-12-2011 02:30 PM

Well its stopped here, final tally is about 25". What did everyone else get? I heard North Haven got 29.5" and Hartford was about 22"....

Here's a NC miata a guy in my complex drives, lol:
