Nothing is special about that single day. Its more of I will probably be working 60-70 hour weeks all August. We have a release going out at the end of August so they are sort of expecting me to be there all month to help get it out the door. Last year I called in sick for the day, this year I just requested it off before they would realize it was the busy time.

I've been meaning to post this for a while but are any of you gehs that are attending interested in helping crew for the team I'm driving with? Apparently we're a bit short on crew and could use some help. We're running an older Integra so no Miata content, sorry.

If you might be interested in helping out, even if just for a couple hours send me a PM. You can put on your racing resume that you crewed for and worked with a real live pro racing driver (HA!.....:eyeroll).

Otherwise, looking forward to seeing everyone next week.

Which team are you running with? Is it the Integra with Dynalites (orange and black iirc)?

Team Lucky Monkey Racing. The car is white and orange, I don't think it has Dynalites. I've been warned the team / car is not especially competitive.

B18 Integra? I don't know the chassis codes and I'm too lazy to go search on Wikipedia.

e: nm, saw your earlier post. It's the good generation Integra that is fast with some massaging and some fast drivers.

We are putting the finishing touches on the car this weekend. I am going to trying out a glow in the dark spray paint on the car to see how it looks. It probably won't work worth a damn, but if it works, should make the car easy to spot at night.

Luke, you are at the other end of the pit from us in 27 and we are in 4. We have will normally have good amount of people around pit area, but if you need someone to hold a fire extinguisher while fueling or something like that, let me know and I can send someone over.

I'm pretty sure this car is lacking in both of those areas.

I don't doubt that a b18 integra couldn't be competitive, just that this specific one isn't so much.

Sounds fun! I have never been to a Chump race like this, is it worth coming to just to meet some of you guys? Or will you be too busy doing whatever you will be doing?

If you have the time and the drive is not to long then coming up to hang out Saturday is not a bad idea. Hopefully out of the 24 hour race we will be busy for about an hour, and that is when we are doing fueling and driver changes, other then there is time to hang out.

The three factors for a top 3 finish for the team Track and I are crewing for, in no particular order:

1. No mechanicals
2. No crashing
3. Rain

The car's fairly reliable, the drivers are good at not crashing, and it looks like it's going to rain for a few hours. Feelin' pretty good, and it's only supposed to be in the mid-80s! A good weekend awaits all of us.

You left out the #1 factor of your team not being top 3, TEAM NAMCO taking all 3 spots.

NAMCO had a chance to podium last year with all three things happening. Had #1 not happened, there was a good chance they would have.

seriously this summer has been kickign *** for virginia. Went to an outdoor concert on Wednesday and I thought I was back in CA. Going to see NIN and Soundgarden outside tonight.

We're (read: the mid-Atlantic) going to get demolished come time for winter. We can't be having 70-80F days in the middle of July and August for free. Someone has to pay the weather bill.

The temps will be welcomed and a hell of a difference from last year. This could be extremely enjoyable weather to have at a race barring any rain.

Just an FYI for any mt.net members who are there, if you find Scott or I we will have lots of mt stickers to hand out, and depending on the time, meat to feed you with. Shoot me a pm if you want me cell number.
