Default MATG XVI July 27-29, 2012

Who's going this year?! As usual most discussion is at the main website and forum: http://www.gapmiatas.com/

I'm doing a little run on Friday evening...

-Meeting at 6:30 in front of Fontana restaurant, gather shoot the ----, then head to the crossroads.
-Get to the TOTD outlet, eat some food if you want to.
-Make a run to the overlook, in some sort of speed hierarchy, yes you actually will want this lol.
-Get to overlook, make another run, loop around, do it again. Head back to Fontana or make more runs.

Plans can obviously change, keeping this informal. This little run has a emphasis on driving "spiritedly", but of course not being stupid.

There's lots of other things to do, as usual. Ohlins will be there this year and hopefully there will be more and more vendors coming to the annual event in the years to come. I would be even better to get more people from this community there as well.

If anyone see's me up there feel free to come say hi.

I'm really hoping we can make it down again this year. I'm about 99% likely to have surgery on my back in the next couple weeks so it depends on how quickly I can get scheduled and how quickly I can recover.

I'm glad I got a number of runs in this past weekend since I won't be there for the MATG event...will be in Portland OR.

Hey, if you see a guy in a flat black Boxster, tell him I say "hi" and I'm sorry I missed chatting with him.

Ooohhh, I see what you did there! But yes, prime example, lol. RS3s rarely make noise and when they do it's fairly close to the limit. Or going over a slick white line on the "whip".

For those interested:

MATG CR.net meet/run - ClubRoadster.net

I wouldn't consider it a CR only meet, once you get there forums never matter lol.

We did a CR meet there on Sunday last year (pretty much all the pgh miata locals are CR kids) and it was pretty fun. Unfortunately I ended up having spinal surgery this past weekend so I won't be able to make it down to MATG this year. :(

In!

Arriving the Sunday before, staying at Fontana, playing the area for the week and staying away from the Dragon on Saturday/Sunday.

There will be two of us travelling from Toronto, my homeboy Vince in a yellow '92, plated "Girlycar", he's easy to spot. My silver 2000 blends in.
Another buddy is arriving Friday trailering his homebuilt Lotus 11 bodied Miata based beast.

You're welcome to lead! If you start holding people up, I'd recommend pulling off to let them pass

Should get a pretty good feel for the pace of people going down 28. Also comes down to who wants to go fast, who doesn't care, and who wants to be toward the back.

Already here, arrived today and staying at Fontana in the main lodge. Tomorrow, heading to Marysville to find aftermarket AC fill for my buddy's 92 (i.e. R12). Anybody know a place that sells the kits c/w R12 fittings?
