I'd like to let all the west coasters know about a Miatas only HDPE event at Thunderhill Raceway, Willows California. I went last year and had a great time. (I am a participant in the host organization)

WHAT: Second annual Miatas-Only HPDE!
WHERE: Thunderhill Raceway Park, Willows CA
WHEN: Monday, October 7th, 2013
COST: $175 for a TON of track time!
This is not-for profit event, any surplus funds go towards next year's event.

-Registration is now open via the link below
-Event is open to ONLY Miatas
-You do not have to be a registered with BAMD to attend, so invite your Miata friends!
-All you need is a Miata, a roll bar, and a helmet, and a desire to have a blast filling up the track driving safely with ONLY Miatas!
-NC Miatas must have aftermarket roll protection
-Three run groups: Advanced, Intermediate and Beginner, with an emphasis on Intermediate and Advanced, and Beginners with at least one track day
-Novice (first time) drivers need to sign up early as there will be a limited amount of instructors, and lead/follows will be available, also on a limited basis. You can bring your own instructor or qualified friend, but need to clear it with us first. For questions about this, just write us
-Run groups are likely to be combined or divided depending on sign ups and skill/ track experience, but you will get at LEAST 2 hours, probably 3 hours of track time if every one stays safe, at the discretion of the track organizers. We also will be limiting the number of cars in each group
-Miata vendors are welcome with prior approval, but we realize this is a MONDAY, and the emphasis is on driving, hanging out with Miata friends, and more DRIVING!
-Same as last year, we will hold a casual pre-track day dinner on Sunday evening at Casa Ramos in Willows and Day's Inn will be giving a special rate for event drivers, and is really decent for the price (PLUS there is a Starbuck's open at 5:30 AM next door)
-This event has already been posted on our forum, and sign ups are coming in. As usual, Intermediate will fill up first, so you will specify Low or High Intermediate when registering
-Last year's "Turn 60" 2-day birthday party event was wet, yet very successful, with local drivers and some coming from SoCal, Washington and Oregon. The majority voted to repeat this event. Though we know some of you like to drive wet, because we wanted optimum weather for Thunderhill this year, we had to go with Monday. We hope that won't let it stop you- this year weather should be ideal! No birthday this time, just celebrating Miatas! If we can continue this as an annual event, we would like go with a 2-day again in the future
