F1 @ Circuit of The Americas Oct 31st - Nov 2nd

So I just bought my tickets for the F1 USGP in Austin this October. I'll be flying in Thursday night and staying till Monday evening at this kickbutt condo right in the heart of the city. I know there are quite a few members here in the area. Anyone else going? We should meet up! I plan on attending the event and then checking out Austin's bar scene. :pitlab:

You and everyone else not from austin will be down there from the F1 race ;) :noob:

oh shhiiiiiiiiii........................ :crx:

Just made me realize the dates. HALLOWEEEEEEEEEN!:drool::drool: Many womenz, very skank, much skin ;)

Gah, almost tempted to NOT go. Hoards of 'stopped' traffic, increased parking prices downtown.... Double whammy of people, euro trash, austin costumed regulars, and out of towners. You're lucky to be in the city only a small walk away from the bars.

I have no plans for F1, possibly will be downtown for teh womenz

Yeah been planning this for a while now. Not to mention it's pretty much costing me about what I need to pick up a bigger turbo for the MSM. LOL But I figure it should be well worth it. Never been to Texas and I hear it's fantastic. Also thinking about moving down that way in a few years so this will give me an idea I hope.

:burncash: :burncash: I bet.

Usually end of Oct. is when we start to see our first real cold fronts and the seasons change. Austin being in central TX gives you options else where in the state, average drive outside from here is about 3-6hrs depending on the direction you go. Dallas is north, San Antonio is just below, Houston is a skip away, and you're feelin lucky you can goto El Paso. Just don't go too south though, thats my 'retreat' ;)

What is your job/career background?

I did F1 the first year it came to COTA. I got a little nauseous when they sold out of $10 bud light. The crowds didn't help. I vowed never to go back.

Halloween in downtown Austin however, is fucking awesome.

I have a friend that supposedly got me in as a worker for a half day over the weekend and free passes to the races the rest of the day, so I SHOULD be there. He has a history of unfulfilled promises, though, so I'll see...

I have an IT related backround and am a semester and a half of finishing my bachelors. So I figure finding work near Austin shouldn't be too hard.
