Just a heads up....Capital Driving Club is hosting a $15 autox w/ free food and drink. I'm an organizer there.

Registration more than half-full.

IF you dress up, it's only $10!!!! Can't beat that with a bat.

Hey guys, come to the MSCW autox at Bowie this Sunday so I can drive your cars. Make sure you come to the morning session because I'm leaving at lunch.

I'm due to submit results to Mazdaspeed so I can keep my account and I'll have to do another event in addition to the MSCW one. Will CDC be providing timed results from the Oct 31 test & tune?

I will be there (helped iron out the details b/w Andrewtech and CDC).

It's at Harry Grove Stadium (Frederick Keys minor league baseball team). Probably should get there by 8:00 a.m. to register, tech inspection, etc.

Hey, foof. By then, my season will be sadly over, hope you guys have a good one-take some pics. I'm pretty sure the DC area will again host at least one, if not more major events for 2011, so I'll be down there again, hopefully this time with my own weapon.

Ed, thread drift here, sorry. I was looking on the schedule for capital driving club, looks like you guys start around late April. Do you know of any clubs that start early April in your area? I'm trying to figure out how far South I'll have to go to get in one event or test and tune before the Dixie Tour in mid April. DC wouldn't be too bad, I don't want to go to SC or something just for TNT. If I can't test and tune, I probably wouldn't go to the Dixie Tour.

Gah, effing long trip from NY!

Thanks for the info, do you have links to clubs? You normally do test and tune as your first event?

Hey man, good info. Have you run with all four clubs? Late Feb tnt and event the following day would be just about perfect. That's with NCRSCCA in Wilmington, assuming they will do it again in 2011. Is the weather likely to be good enough to run that time of year there?

Could be a perfect setup, parents live in Myrtle Beach, only ~1 1/2 hours from Wilmington.

I've personally run with THSCC and TSCC both run good events. A lot of people from the club I'm in (THSCC) also run with NCR and I've heard good things about their events. I haven't personally made it to one of their events though. I don't think there are any nationally toured CSP cars that frequent NC autocrosses though, at least I haven't seen any yet.

I'm not sure what clubs are in VA though and when they start. At least your worst case is NC now instead of SC.

I'm sure at least one other club would run that early. We've got CDC, BMW, SCCA and Autocrossers, Inc (a SCCA arm), Mercedes, Porsche club (PCA), and a couple others. SOMEONE has to be running early.

Thanks, foof, keep a brotha posted. I'd be down if there was something before mid-March.
