Houston Megasquirt help

Is there anyone in houston that is well read on the megasquirt that can come show me the ropes. I have plenty of information to read on it, but unfortunately that is not the way I learn. I would really appreciate it and I can help you with whatever you may need to do as well, even if not immediate.

I have a lift, engine hoist, and just about every tool you could imagine. I just have no idea how to really work this damn thing.

What exactly do you need help with?

Full install?

Mine was built by Scott, so I just had to wire it and the wideband in, as well as IAT and variable TPS sensors and injectors. I'm sure you can handle all that, but I'm always down for some hand-holdin' if that's what you need.

I had both of mine built by scott, but I have no clue how to adjust various parts of it. I will have it all wired in no problem, but i just need to know how to actually tune the thing. If you are going to be in Houston any time soon Damon, then maybe you can come by and give me a crash course.

Oh okay...lots of experience tuning. Scary at first, but then you find out how fun it is. I'm in Houston all summer working an internship...will shoot you an email or a call when free. What's your timeframe? Big hurry or just within the next few weeks?

Read my dyno thread and that will tell you how to tune. I talked to a few people at the Redline race about tuning, including some guys who write MS firmware and code in general, and they all agreed that I tuned the correct way with no gimmicks or "tricks". Advance to MBT or detonation, then pull 2* for safety. After you do that, its tuned.

If you gays want to hang-out in mid-town let me know and I'll meet up. Lots of negs to charge-up.

Damon: I am not in a huge rush. I am waiting on my new manifold and downpipe from BEGi and should have it in a few weeks. We are tuning a buddies built motor right now, but he is gone to LA for a week or so. Probably about three weeks from now.

Trey: I will have to look that up and do some good reading tonight. I tried looking at the megatune manual and had a hard time staying awake. When are you going to be in mid-town? Just send me a text or PM me when you know you are coming.

I use to have a link in my old car, nothing like the megasquirt i'm ore than willing to play around with anything. Bryce (I forget what his SN on here is) has a MS in his car. Some of the local club members also have used xcede and FI/C

shoot me a PM. (i'm kinda tied up for a couple of weeks though thanks to some classes i'm taking.)

Let me know if anyone wants to meet up. I can round up more turbo miatas.

(mid town though? not a bar/club person)
