Las Vegas Miata owners or Meets???
Any current Miata meets or anything happening Las Vegas . I’m currently building a turbo Miata. It would be cool to share the experience with other local Miata owners or anyone doing the same in Las Vegas. Can’t even find anything on Instagram |
Hey man, I live in Vegas and I have for about a year. I spent 5-6 months straight trying to find groups or anything in Vegas but they don’t really exist as far as I know. I work and live on nellis AFB, I’ll bump this thread to see if anyone wants to do a Vegas “locals” meet in the future

Hey guys, I'm in Vegas. There are a few of us in the autocross groups out here, and one or two decently powerful turbo cars.

https://www.lvrscca.org/ is the website. From there on Facebook, look up LVMazdas, Sin City Miatas, and LVRSCCA Fan Page.

If you want local the usual answer is Kyle Leblanc (FB). If you want remote, I've been looking at 18psi/Vlad on here.

Thats autocross looks fun, I’ll definitely look into it |
I did some research into SCCA around here and have been waiting to start until I revert back to N/A so I don't get my ass handed to me. I also haven't made the move on anything else like a set of wheels/good tires. I'll check out the groups and make it out to some miata meets. I'm on FB as well. I probably won't end up getting my turbo stuff until I'm long gone from vegas, but it'll be fun to meet up and possibly get started in autox.

I'd say run it as is. Have fun with the car and learn it. There is a BRP supercharged Miata out here that is pretty competitive.

Either of you guys the ones we bought this shitbox Miata from?

Lol nope, but I'll take that hard top. ;)

I don't have a ms2/3 to reliably tune her, and since we're trying to get rid of debt I was gonna tear it off and get some money out of it until I get home and start making more money. I don't make much now

I have a POC on a partial assembled MS. I can see which one it is and go from there. Feel comfortable doing some soldering?
|
Yeah I'm not the best at it but I'm also not the worst. I've got a DIY IR head tracker that I'll be working on in the next couple months so I would be more comfortable after that. depending on everything(including wife approval) I may be able to do that. Just like our last convo, it kinda depends on price but also on when I get all my credit card debt paid off, which might be like 5-ish months. Us military dudes don't make much, to be fair.
