Surprised no one has started a thread for this yet. It looks like I will probably be home and able to attend, however since I wasn't sure how my schedule was going to play out I have no lodging arranged. I know in the past I was able to get a place with someone who had room. Any chance of that this year?

 

A lot of people have been posting about rooms available in the facebook group I think.

Any chance anyone is heading down from the Pittsburgh area with a truck/trailer or an na/nb without a hardtop? I'm looking to have one brought down from my buddy's house. Also anyone traveling between Pittsburgh and Cincinnati would work, if before matg. I think Bryan would be able to bring it down if anyone could help get it close to him.

 

FB group for this site? I have at least met a few folks from here in person and know there used to be a good-sized contingent who attended, I figured I'd have a better chance at finding some space through here as I would prefer not to bunk up with strangers. I have asked my wife if she would like to attend, I doubt she says yes but if so then that will govern where I try to stay.

I'm planning on heading down on the 5th, if Bryan can't transport the hardtop and it gets to Cincy I would be happy to shift it for you. As long as it isn't a color that would call my manhood into question...

 

I'm planning to be up there for several days assuming the car survives the hillclimb the weekend before. No real plans as of yet, just lodging with some buddies in an airBNB and doing miata stuff.

 

I'll be there again this year with a few friends, one of whom is a fellow lurking member here (Chriscar). We've been staying at an Aribnb the last few years that's about 5 miles outside of Robbinsville. We led Marcus's old A&W run last year but we'll probably go back to just doing our own runs again this year.

 

I'm guna drive up and back on Friday/Saturday. Might try to bring the racecar up one day, we shall see.

 

3rd year running I'll be there not in a Miata.

 

We'll just change this to the A&W run that way I can get out of doing the damn thing This reminds me, I need to bring the racecar on Friday "ope, cant lead only got the racecar!"

 

I remember the last one I went on, you looked at me and said, "You're the only one here I know."

Looks like I might have found a place to lay my head. It is pretty much literally that, but it's cheap and available which is hard to get this close to the event.

 

And just like that, it now looks like I won't be able to make it after all. Just like last year, the guy who was due to relieve me took another job and let me know with two weeks before the handover was due. Now I have to see if the company can find another person (not likely). I'll wait to cancel everything for another week on the off-chance a miracle occurs.

 

Ah that sucks Chief, was hoping to see you there. Fingers crossed it works out.

 

It's official, I am out for this year. My company only just listed my job with my union (two weeks after they were notified I wasn't getting relieved) so there isn't any hope in hell I will have someone soon. I just cancelled my reservation. Here's hoping that next year will work out better.

 

I'm planning to drive out for a day or two to meet up with some friends.
