Miata Challenge youtube channel

This is a Miata Challenge youtube channel devoted solely to Miata Challenge videos. In car, in the pits, on the way to the event, whatever. I'm not uploading much, just favoriting and creating playlists for each region

California (OG!)
Texas
East Coast

Just email the you tube links to 949Racing for your videos or send me a message through you tube, tell me what region. I'll favorite and add to the correct playlist.

Definitly beats scavaging youtube....which we all know I am guilty of :giggle:

That roll over video is humbling. I REALLY need to get a bar in my car asap.

cjernigan 02-02-2010 09:44 PM

That is the first time I've seen that roll over video. Makes me want to buy a cheaper NB, cage it and swap in my setup and buy a hans. That should make everyone in a miata want to invest more thoroughly in their safety equipment.

I clicked on the East Coast link and was brought to the buttonwillow video. Is there an east coast miata challenge i'm not familiar with?

jacob300zx 02-02-2010 11:06 PM

My friend here in Corpus is ordering a harness bar and harness this week, were also mounting his ultrashield.

I'm with snow on this one, as often as you track the car I really don't see the added expense being necessary.

add in the sliding teather, helmet anchors, and quick release and the price grows.

turotufas 02-03-2010 12:03 AM

I'm about to get on those videos in a minute.
If the challenge comes to Florida/Georgia area I'm in if I can fund it.

emilio700 02-03-2010 12:03 AM

I use a DefNder

Cheaper, better lateral protection than a Hans and DefNder will actually release their test data to the public.

I was considering this one as well, i like how its expandable open wheel car and regular street car. Where as with the Hans you would have to have two separate neck restraints.

rharris19 02-03-2010 09:30 AM

That really needs to be my next investment. Focus too much on making the car faster and you get tunnel vison and foget about other important factors.

jacob300zx 02-03-2010 10:40 AM

At min a neck brace...next week.
