7th john roberts - 4pts. (zx-tex)
8th carter white - 3pts. (doghouse)
our final event will be at texas world speedway on friday nov. 19th
the event runs from 12pm-5pm. it's an open trackday, so the track is hot from 1-5pm without run groups or sessions. you can run as much as you want. we might end up running 3 timed laps at the end of the the day, time attack style. reason being, i don't know if tws rents transponders or if they even have amb timing during these.
one last thing guys, even if you are down in points, please come out and join us. i was once told early this season by a potential competitor, that he was not gonna come join us at his local track because he would not be able to run the whole series so he wouldn't have a chance at winning, so why run at all? well once i heard that i knew i needed to give up on this guy. if that's his attitude about it, i don't want him with us. the whole idea is for everyone to improve by sharing knowledge and experience, but by far the number 1 goal is to have fun. we might have a little **** talking going on sometimes, but it's all in fun. at the track, there's never a lack of help if you need it, and no bad vibes.
those of you that missed our last event, also missed a chance to meet matt andrews and see his awesome time attack champion miata in action. he's a great guy and his car was awesome!
anyway, you can sign up at clubregistration.net or just pay when you get there. it's $125 and you can order outback steakhouse for $10 when you check in. for more track info you can go to texasworldspeedway.com
see you at the track!

See you there. Its been a fun season and I learned a lot. It was the first time I've ever had a chance to compete in a car and its been great, and made a few friends along the way. Howeveer the best of all is how these events got me out to new tracks and lots of cahllenges. I'm ready to get stomped at TWS, btw.
I bet I can talk Matt into coming to this event too, open track time is the best track time. I'll also attempt to get the motor home...again.
This is 5-hours of open track time people, come out, get the seat time, and hopefully we can get a turn out to run this with NASA again next year.

and like i told you before, you'll kill at this track. it's easy to get the hang of, and it's gonna be nice and cool out. hopefully dry.

I'll be getting back from Thailand just before this event. I hope I'll have the car ready for it. Need to represent at my home track.
Also, they will not have transponders for rent, so we will have to figure out some sort of timing method. I'll have my traqmate, maybe we can swap it between cars or something. I might have access to another one, but I cant make any promises.

I was hoping you could make it. and yeah, I didn't think they had rentals. what about ambassador timing though. nevermind, I don't have a display anyway. its not like they'll have printouts. I might be able to borrow a buddies beacon setup. so I guess it will be a 3 hotlap solo shootout at the end of the day!

I'm going to h2r on Oct. 30th with pca. who's running the track on the day you're talking about. I'm down IF I have the cash and my car is running right. that's a pretty big if though!

Not competing because he cannot make ALL the events. That is pretty lame and not the true racing spirit at all.
If the LS1 car is ready I will be there. I had it out at Harris Hill last weekend and the whole differential problem I had at the last TWS outing is now fixed. The handling feels good as well so the suspension is in the ball park. I just need to fix the crap exhaust installation from the previous owner, do a little radiator and oil cooler ducting, and I should be good to go.
I am about to have a megahellastylin part-out on the '99 turbo Miata by the way so keep in mind I can deliver parts to TWS.
+1 on open track time being much more user friendly.
