i will be upgrading my suspension to stance gr+ coilovers....if anyone has fair warning about these lmk, ive used the search feature and came up with nothing so far

also gonna need to corner weight balance and pretty much dial in the suspension, i dont want to go lower due to regulations, so if anyone knows any good shops in the greater los angeles county...again lmk all ive heard about is a shop called west end while searching, any more feedback on darrel? or was it darren?

other than that any members gonna be there? im down to meet up and what not

May I ask why you're choosing the stance setup? Budget I'm guessing? I don't have experience with either, but I want to say that the raceland package is better, don't quote me on that though.

Please don't put that crap on your car, especially since you're willing to spend money on corner balancing. Save your money and buy something decent. 949racing in the Lake Forest/Irvine area is right in your back yard.

I have stance gr+ coilovers on my car and think they are great. They are in no way crap, and are backed by amazing customer service. I upgraded to the 10k fronts and have the 7k rears. Been to 4 track events and about 7 autocrosses on them in the last year and have never had a problem (other than a mistake on my part).

Jacob300zx has drove my car at MSRH and the PCA @ cameron county air port, and has only ever complemented them. I say his name cause he has been tracking miatas for longer than me and has been my instructor in many cases.

Sadly there are alot of fan boys for these coilovers because you can go realy low with them but do what you think will work best. People are going to tell you that you made the wrong decision no matter what you pick so go with the product you like best. I am glad I got the package that I have and am not planning on replacing them any time soon.

I did a little research on the Stance GR+. It appears that they have improved, some, within the last year. They are just a little less than the Tein Flex in price, performance and results on a shock dyno. There is still some debate about whether they can be re-valved. I looked on stance website and they don't specifically state if they do or don't re-valve. Possibly not a "crap" coilover, anymore.

They will re-valve up to 16k. Also in most cases they will replace or rebuild anything for free.

I understand what you are saying though, tein flex are an amazing coilover but at the time I did months of research and for the price I paid, which was 1200 with free shipping, they were about 500 cheaper and seemed perfect for what I wanted to do. Also I have a set of second run coliovers from last year, they sent out two batches mine coming from the later, I have heard some people had problems with first run sets, but that was because they were mad tyte jdm slammed and fudged their bump stops. I run mine about 2 inches higher than the lowest height setting and love it.

and i did run mono flexes on my civic with edfc, and my dc5, i guess im just willing to try new stuff, but from what im seeing, im probably gonna get what i pay for, so its decided, im shoveling out the extra 500-600 for mono flexes....ill just go with what i know since this is my first track day with a miata (absolutely stoked for it).....as for the racelands? those seem to be really inexpensive, so ill try it out after as with the stances, seeing how i can always trade....thanks all

you can always look into koni/gc combo many here are running. a bit less pricey

ive seen this done on a few cars, and i do love my koni yellows, but how well does the ground control setup work? ive mostly seen this done on show queens running 0 offset and wide *** wheels, and slammed (not my cup of tea). but i have searched around, and i see you gave racelands a pretty good review, would you recommend i save myself the ~2k and just go with those?

If you will do any sort of track driving, then NO.
They are good for 1 thing only: daily/street driving.

probably street class, im running near stock just a beefy suspension set up..and sohc? impressive i guess in the end it all comes down to the driver
