Brake drama is severe, gentlemen. I'm dismantling everything, dressing the threads in sealant, reassembling, then hopefully the pressure bleeder adapter cap I made will hold enough pressure to bleed. Offer virgin blood to Lucifer for my success.

At the test-n-tune today they ran two groups, 30 on 30 off. Its was "miatas" in group one and "everyone else" in group two. LOL. Me and 17 SM/SSM's on the track at the same time was "interesting". Sorta like driving in a bees nest.

First session, cool track temps, I lost count of the offs and spins in front of me (9-10 ? and I was not pushing them at all.. much). Second session, I let them all go out for a half lap lead and the carnagewas less, (cept for one SM that went off left, then tried the hero move and snap spun across the track to the right, barely missing the SM in front of me by inches at around 90 mph. I came in to check my shorts. Shoulda had the cam running..There were no apex cones left standing and a few were deposited on the track here and there.

Sat out the next session and was watching some friends in ST/ST2 from the hill. After the session, the pinatas were up again (my session) and within around 5 laps the whole field appeared to be brought in for a "talkin to" about the "racin" and rock throwin that was going on.

Subsequent sessions we all played nice and not having rocks on half the apexes make for better laps.

Good times!

And you're in the backup car, right? Imagine if you were in the fast one.

Nope. Got the Black one back on track for ECR. Hit the track with 400 breakin miles on the new motor and a pretty rich tune. Feels slow, but its likely the driver..

That was a long day. Matt drove my car for a session and the throttle stuck at over 120mph into braking, but he and the car were perfectly alright. I ran dog-**** times all day and I'm pretty afraid of that track because there are several place where you're braking from over 100mph down to roughly 40mph and there are nasty, rough humps where the tires bark a few times while slowing down. There is also about 10' of run-off in most corners where you get a rock garden prior to ditches. It was a long day and I didn't even get under the SM record which sucks ***, but I don't plan to return to that track any time soon. I do plan to hit MSR in the next few weeks and crush.

Run off at ECR is ****. The braking zones are washboarded, atleast they moved the haybails and guardrail farther back on the east side of the track. They really skimped on the build quality of the track.

Big thanks to Quan for letting me drive his NC for 3 events this season. That car was absolutely trouble free all year. We put a wrench on it for the first time yesterday when we noticed that two header flange nuts were missing. One hardware store trip later and everything was fine.

Thanks also to sixace who let me drive his car. I underdrove it and left alot of time on the track. I had never driven on Hoosiers before. HOLY CRAP they have a ton of grip!

Sixace, did you run a 2:03.xx?

That track has really gone to ****! It's likely that I won't be back until the track is seriously repaired. Washboard braking zones, runoff with moguls and a pit exit lined with ditches is unacceptable.

Speaking of repaired tracks, Harris Hill has a fresh coat of asphalt! Today was an asphalt curing day for members to do touring laps, with street tires, on the track. We need to do an event there soon.

Sorry no. Some moron left it on and recorded over an hour of exciting paddock coverage. The stuck throttle off was "exciting" to see right in front of me and I'm glad the car and Matt came out of it ok..
