We did... briefly. I was the tire monkey for Wags and Hustler driving the clown car. Should've run street class and got me some NC kill.

H2R is using RFID? Excellent. Do you know whose system (which brand) it is?

The transponders are basically free so the big question is what the rest of the system costs. That will probably not be cheap.
I spoke with Eric and Steven about it, but I dont think they mentioned what system it was. i'll look around and see if i can dig anything up.

i don't have anything against traqmate or any gps lap timer. i just don't want any hurt feelings over a guy with a transponder or gps that reads to the thousandth's of a sec. winning over someone with one that reads to the tenths. if i would have gotten a lap time on my third session sat. there might have been 4 of us in the 1:27 range. i got a 1:27.368 on sunday on my one traffic free lap.
LOL, you won't ever see me with any hurt feelings over times. I just happy to run and compare. The informal competition just makes a track day more fun and helps me push a bit more. I think the scoring decision you made was just fine. Timing will always be a pain, AMB vs. GPS. I dunno, yeah AMB might be the best, but not if requiring it discourages entrants from joining in the fun.

Save me some stickers, I'll get them from ya at tws. Looking fwd to another new track for me. Hopefully with lots more seat time I can give those pesky mod guys a run for the money by the time ecr rolls around

I heard from another source that H2R bought the Zoomius system.

yeah, well great, that's exactly what this challenge is all about. if everyone is as mature about it as you are, we shouldn't have any problems.

and yes, hopefully we can right this wrong which is mod > unlimited! lol...
i was looking at some video and turns out i did have a much faster lap in my 3rd session. (no traffic, no transponder..FTL) oh well, we'll get'em next time.

OK I just got a reply from these guys. They only clone the small AMB RC transponders.

"Sorry we only have cloned transponders for the AMBrc
system used for radio control models.

Regards,
Terry Stockham"

It still makes me wonder though if the AMB we are using can be cloned, and if anyone is doing it. I could not find anything in a brief search.

These guys are rock stars and they get tons of bitches. I heard they all got sponsors and don't have to worry about tires and brake pads ever again.

I wore a hat, but it was the wrong kind apparently. I was hoping the cowboy hat would get Hustler all hot and bothered. His track manliness makes me horny.

Had fun, good weather, great group of guys and learned alot last weekend. Thanks machismo for the place to crash and yea you would have had some massive kill if you ran street spoolin for the for letting me borrow the phone for lap timesand setting up the event, wags for the instructing, and everyone else for the good company that day. Even though I posted those slow times a had a blast, learned alot, and felt like I improved alot since the last I was was at cresson. Looking forward to the next event!

That's a load of crap. You drove farther than anyone and didn't get a recorded lap because a NASA transponder doesn't work nor your phone. That's not fair to you, IMO.

We all need AMB's or the RFID setup. We're already learning alot from this first season. Hopefully each event will go easier and smoother for everyone.

one thing i'm realizing way too late here. (after seeing a few pics i'll be posting below) i have vinyl numbers in blk. and wht. at prices cheap enough that you can take them off after the event if it's your daily or street car. ask me next time and i can hook you guys up. looks a little nicer than the tape. vinyl #s and txmc stickers were made by tim @
Voodoo Garage - Clothing... Vinyl... Speed... if you want something special or a custom design for the lowest price possible contact him.

also would like to thank Voodoo Racing of so. tx. for the donation of the trophies for the last 2 events and the preseason txmc last oct. at tws.
that was really appreciated. you can find out more about them here:
MySpace - Voodoo Racing... DRIVE OR DIE! - 33 - Male - Voodooville, Texas - myspace.com/ilovevoodooracing

pics page: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...ndID=106161090

however, we're out of trophies and to help cover sticker costs etc., there's most likely gonna be a small fee to enter the challenge. probably around $10
i'll also make sure i bring that dry erase board. went by office max, they were $65 dollars! that sounds crazy to me. i was going to borrow jacob300zx's but didn't make it over to his house before i left town.
