No extra points for 'hardcore'. Better trailer it.

If you need to stop in dallas I've got a comfy floor you can crash on.

hustler 06-07-2010 09:15 AM

Gf and I are diving it with track seats and the tire trailer. You gays can meet ms. Hustler and surf gay CL personals with her while she belittles you fags.

I'll trailer that turd to his house and let him drive the show car "fancy pants" home...lol

Well got to Dallas about 7pm and Fidgitk and I had some grub and pulled the CAS off the race car. It looks like that was one of my problems that ended the day at TWS. We should have it fixed Tues night with our super glue experiment. I have a spare if that doesn't work. We also think my timing was too advanced and thats why its breaking up on the big end.

Spoolin2bars, I thought you were following my wifey up here and we were all heading out at midnight? I'm stopping in LR to drop the wife and kids off, then off to Tulsa to pick up a friend off CL. Then on to Hallet and a suuupppper night.

Who's going to the Wednesday night meet? I think Fidgetk and I are stopping in.

yeah, uhhh, i can't be globe trotting in my miata. there's no way in hell i'm going to be in that car for 15-20hrs. or however long it takes you to cross 3 state lines. 6hrs. to dallas, sleep, 6 hrs. to hallett, is all i can handle IF i can still make it. nothings set in stone yet for me. plus, i'd like to drive as many hours as possible during the day since i don't have headlights! lol..
wind noise, heat, alum. racing seat, your not dealing with any of that. it really wears you out. if i can't leave early on thurs., i may still follow her up, but i'm not leaving dallas till fri. morning.

jeff_man 06-08-2010 12:40 AM

was going to come throw down a time in a borrowed car but building a car on unemployment has maxed out my bank account

hustler 06-08-2010 12:51 AM

If you guys are in Dallas and need anything in terms of parts, tools, or help, let me know. John has parts too that he's probably willing to help out with if you're in a pinch.

I'm at the Choctaw Casino in Oklahoma (lol) until tomorrow night and I'm off friday so hit me up and we can drizzink beerz and I can show off my new oil-cooler set up which is triple gold with diamond bolts.

Also, the Victorian Inn in Caddo is 20-minutes from Hallett, $59 per night, and they still have like 4 rooms left for Friday night.

jacob300zx 06-08-2010 02:03 AM

I'm here until midnight Thursday. I think Wags and I are meeting up to give fancy a little love. I think I conned him into double driving fancy. That way I find out how many driver mods I need for next season...lol

Trey, give me a call when your back in town so I can check out the rhinestone cowboy oil cooler. You and spoolin might have to have a cool off...lol

JZ, just stay with stubbs

Don't forget that OK only has 91-octane and thatfuel is not cheap at the track so either bring some 93 or pull 3* of spark out.

or tune your car on 91 like i'm planning to :jerkit:

or does that 3* trick work? what would i need to add to run all 101oc?

3* is an industry standard rule of thumb. I'm taking 5 or 10 gallons of 93 with me so I can dilute to 92-octane. I already have a massive safety-margin though, 5* back from MBT...and I can really feel 3-5* of retard on the butt dyno.

I don't understand your 101-octane question. Considering you have an Eaton hand-dryer on your car you probably need all the octane you can get.

surprisingly none! actually i didn't see a single honda racer/ricer on the highway anywhere. only 1 truck (in oklahoma) tried to get me to race. it was a pos v8 dakota, i just laughed and pointed at them, they probably did the same. lol

hustler 06-15-2010 10:33 AM

What was the fix on the fuel problem?

jacob300zx 06-15-2010 10:36 AM

The fix was spoolin drove fancy pants form Hallett to Corpus...lol

Now that's just plain funny. I'm close enough to Oklahoma that whenever I hear banjos I gag the throttle just in case. They likes to throw their beer cans at my little car and rifle racks make me nervous.

Excellent quality! :bigtu: I like the high-def and the Traqmate data stuff.

One thing to make future videos even better: raise the camera a little higher to shoot down across the hood.

P.S. Mechanic's gloves for the win!

Thanks, Actually it's recorded in SD and chopped down even more for web posting by Traqmate. The sony cam is awesome on HD but it eats up space and I don't believe you can do the overlay on HD (Traqmate is working on that).

On SD mode it recorded all sessions for three days and had enough left that I filmed the CMC Shootout race from the stands. All on the internal memory. Impressive. I'll try and get the mount up higher like yours, it is better that way..

LOL on the gloves. I left my helmet, suit, gloves, shoes and some spare parts at home. DOH! I kinda like the feel of the mechanic gloves though..On the Friday session I had to buy a long sleeve tee to get on track (thankfully I had jeans in my clothes bag). On the second session I was blackflagged for having the long sleves rolled up

spoolin2bars 06-16-2010 02:56 AM

that pic was on my way to the event, not coming from it.

man, they were picking on you dan because i wore a short sleeve shirt on sat. and they never said anything to me.

check out the updated points list (about to post it) there's a battle brewing in modified and unlimited classes!

Those porsches were retarded fast. There was some "concern" that the 13 car was really in TTA (had no paperwork). And the purple one with like 500hp made an "interesting" pass on me on the inside of turn 1 diring a session. It was clean and exciting, but he sure had confidence in me seeing him and not coming down on him. Nice guys.

The guy with the RX-7 (450hp?) ran alot better at Hallett that TWS. I spoke with him and learned that it's his home track and this car was his "race" car and the RX at TWS was his street car and broken ('member the rolling roadblock..).

When he gridded 2nd on the very first session I was like wtf? Sure enough on turn 1, I see him put it into the tire wall at the outside entry for the turn? Later he said that when he downshifted, his knee hit the key and turned off the car. LOL.

When he got down into the 1:24's (after putting it into the wall earlier) I had to give him some props. The sick TTU vette got a 1:20 i believe. That must have been a fun ride.

He was really nice about blocking and brake checking John and I at MSR-C.

so that guy has a silver and a blk. fd rx7? yeah, he almost wrecked my car, he can suck it. and i mean that in the nicest way.

yeah that purple porsche is crazy fast but needs his suspension setup right. they're new 2 way adj. and he doesn't know what to do. he was sliding all over the place at tws and cresson. the 944 and the green 911 are really fast and good drivers. i've been chasing their lap times at pca events since '06 and we have all gotten faster so they're always just out of reach. last pca i did though i was within a second of their times on a 1.8 mi. track. last couple nasa events though they were back to the usual 3-5 seconds faster. :vash:
but they're the exceptions, (and happen to be full race cars) rest of the porsche, vettes, and vipers get devoured by my miata! lol

hustler 06-16-2010 03:24 PM

It takes a special kind of asshole to actually brake check someone at speed on a racetrack in a friendly HPDE.
