10 days in Alaska this past spring. Heli-snowmobile-powder & my camera
I took a 10 day trip to AK this past spring and decided to capture the trip through the lenses of my GoPro's while I ride and a friend shot a bunch along the trip.
It was really great to edit something that I am actually in front of the camera rather than normally just editing stuff of other people. I had an absolute blast. Anyone that likes to be outside will have just as much fun watching it. http://vimeo.com/mhmmproductions/jou...ghthegreatland |
Great videography, looked like fun. Inspired me - I need to get some edited footage of me dirtbiking in the rockies.

Thank you for bringing back great memories...
I have done pretty much everything in that video on skis. Especially that part where you just let go of the snowmachine from the top.. We used to go to the valley behind Flattop just out of town and have a blast all day long. Was that pizza scene at Moose's Tooth? (Looks like you'been to the Brewhouse on 5th Avenue, too) |
Holy ----, I so badly want to take an AK trip. I'm so jealous of those expansive untouched lines.
Epic video man. Great riding. How was the snow? Looks like some fairly dry pow. I'm going to buy a split next year and try to skin a few of the local mountains here. Taking a trip to AK for some backcountry is a goal of mine. How'd you plan it out? Heli rides, snowmobiles, etc? Did you have guides, or did you guys know where to go? Any avy training? Obviously had beacons i'd assume. I had just gotten done with snowboarding for this season, and damn it now i'm having withdraws. |
