Is E85 generally cheaper per unit than normal gasoline? I only know of one station around here that has it and I have no idea what it costs.

I'm not here that weekend or I'd be in for the Sunday cruise.

Its usually cheaper. Like almost a whole dollar/gallon on average.
Your car does consume 20-30% more of it tho

This car should be at the Mazda Meet in niagara falls Ontario. It goes the whole weekend starting friday June 10th. Due to a wedding I'm going to saturday I will only be able to make it sunday for pics and cruise.

Whoa whoa hold the phone. Vlad's car is in the buffalo area now? Where do you live exactly. I live in downtown Buffalo.

Snowboardinwny 04-28-2011 06:09 AM

It is, Pendelton to be exact. You should join NYSpeed.com It's all of NY obviously, but most people on there are around Buffalo.

Awesome, I'll have to sign up there. What's your plans for the car? Autox? Some track days? I've been hoping to eventually find a group of people I can run with once I get the car sorted and up in August.

Snowboardinwny 04-28-2011 12:38 PM

I'm not sure how the car would do in auto-x, haven't really had the time to play with it in that type of situation. Turbo is quite laggy and than, zomg so much power..... I always wanted to do a track day but for now I'm just going to have fun with it. I'm also looking to change the wheels, the 9" wheels that are on it grind against the control arms on tight turns. Probably go with some 15x8's. Looking for something light but not really digging the 6ul wheels that everyone raves about. I'll be upgrading the breaks as well before it sees any sort of track day. Also a harness bar, and much better suspension when the racelands blow. That will give me some time to save up for some XIDA club sports. Also, I want to go to a longer rear end and possibly a 6speed after I blow this tranny lol. I topped out at 120 the other day.

O yeah, hardtop is getting painted black.

Any plans for yours this summer?

I need to get inconel hardware before I even consider getting on track and that might not happen before it starts to snow again. A brake upgrade would also be wise I think. So it's probably going to be next summer when I finally do a track day. In the meantime I'm going to try to get involved in as many autox events as I can. ECC has a pretty huge and open parking lot where you might be able to open it up. I know events have been held there in the past, but I just can't seem to find info on upcoming events.

My friend has auto-x'd there, I have been to a couple events but never participated. I also went to school at that campus.

You should seriously check out NYSpeed tho, there are a couple other turbo NA's running around here that I know of. A red one in buffalo, and a black one on grand island. You can also find information on track days and there is a spring bbq coming up next month on the 22nd. Registration ends may 1st by the way.

Alright, this thread has been derailed enough lol, if you have any more questions feel free to pm me.
