Keep in mind that GT-R is close to OEM weight. Also note the seminoles helmet :-P

Cool. That is exactly why I built the green car.

That car is on Hoosiers..During One Lap Will Taylor/Steven Rankins (Will drove both Daytona sessions I'm pretty sure) set down right at 2:01ish on street tires on the 24 hour course...with a lot less power. Still, impressive hunting...I like seeing these cars do well.

I'll post a video after I take mine to Barber and whoop up on the local Ferrari's, Porsche's and Vette's...

Wait, I don't have one.

That would be very high on my list of cars to own if I had serious money. P800 kit of course.

The freedom guys are great, I've seen this GTR at the track many times.

Super nice crew. Let me sit in all of their cars and revved up the M6 at their shop with no exhaust on it. The amount of toys at that shop is why I go to college.

Shame the rear wing on that GT-R is worth more than I have in my car.

The Vette at the end of the vid put up a good fight before succumbing to the inevitable.

My Miata was parked next to one at the last college game I went too. I just can't get over how big they are, and I still don't care for them all that much.

I'm not a big fan of track event victories when the other car lets off the throttle for the pass. Yeah, I know, that's the rules. Granted it's not racing, but all those passes in the vid are lame. Not knocking the GTr, just the touting.

I agree, but rules are rules. It would be much more entertaining to see him pass while they were both still WOT, especially that ZR1 that seemed to be about even matched on the straights.

Damn! The sound of the ferrari made me wet my pants. The GTR is definately impressive, that last pass on the vette seemed to be WOT for both of them lol.

Go Noles! I've (lightly) driven a GTR and was in heaven for 4 seconds up to the speed limit. I wasn't real fond of the looks of them when they first came out, but they really grew on me. The sound of that Zr1 made me nut a little too!

This is why I could never ONLY do track days. Driving around by yourself gets boring. Driving in a clusterfuck is a good time.

Well, you've never run with John, Jeffman, Machismo, Gary, and a few others. We hunt in packs, eat our young, and drink blood from still-beating hearts. We basically do the "gentleman's rules" racing thing. Sure its not wheel-to-wheel, but we're seriously determined to have the fastest street cars on the track.
