Oh man the LCD is much easier to use now.

Low light recording is considerably better as well. Still grainy but looks much better compared to my friends original HD Hero

Just a dumb little video showing the difference in picture with low light. gopro1 1080p, vs gopro2 1080p.

I've gotta be honest. 720p @60fps is still better than 1080p. I took a spin with the gopro2 attached to the handlebars of my bike (mountain bike) and the quality was better, more clean and clear, not as grainy, and with the added FPS, everything was smooth on the edges for when i was doing high(er) speed stuff.

I think the "wide" setting on the gopro2 is to wide, i think setting it back to "normal" would make it look a lot better. It's still wide angle, just not as fisheye.

Ill have to go out on my bike again at 720p @60 and see how it does, I was kind if disappointed in the 1080p performance as well.

What free programs are out there that will allow me to do lightweight editing to my videos? I want to clip and snip and possibly adjust brightness. That's about it.

What class sd card do you have? 1080p needs at least class 6 otherwise it will skip.

Anyone else think the Hero2 is over exposed when in car - or have the same issues? I set it to the spot setting to help, but still it's over-exposed compared to the regular HeroHD.

+1. I need to be able to flip my video's 180* (roof mount records upside down!)

That is done with one of the basic camera settings. I have to switch it regularly when I change locations in my car. It is the one called Up and it changes to Upd.

I've got 3 - you can use one of them the entire weekend. Bring a large SD card though, 16gb works well
