Cholmondeley Pageant of Power pics
Today I went to a car show. 'Twas pretty good for the most part. Red Arrows demonstrations, freestyle jet skis, freestyle motocross, tanks, hovercraft, plus every kind of interesting fast wheeled vehicle imaginable, from the pre-war era to the present day. Here's a small handful of the better photos:
Atom V8, Noble M600, Lexus LFA, and Aston One-77 were all driven like they'd been stolen up the road course
Bac Mono to the far left. Every car in these pits was given a decent workout for the crowds.
The sidecars posted the quickest times of the day
I'd followed the build of this Bonneville Skoda on teh internetz, so it was good to see it in the metal
One of these will almost certainly be my next major purchase after I've sorted my Mazda. And after I've saved for and bought sensible, life-related things, obviously. This one was running two Yamaha R1 engines, and had the exhaust silencers removed for the demo runs. Other examples in the paddock used twin 'busa engines, single 1500cc bored/stroked 'busa engines… basically the regulations allow you to use any powertrain that will fit within the chassis.
Williams F1 car making lots of noise
F1 aero is always cool. Note the exhausts exiting into the diffuser
That's it for now. I took a couple of vids too, but to be honest just typing the name of the show into Youtube would probably yield better results.
