every color is a shape if you can zoom in you can see that, it's not one piece more like a 1000 pieces lol

that's a good start man, but I think that there are too many colors that add to the chaos. I don't know what your assignment is, but it looks like it should be on a poster. If what you're trying to do is get attention, you want to get it without drawing negative attention from all the craziness. Basically just keep the color scheme simple. Also I would next time try to get a higher resolution picture of a car. IMO doppleganger has a good example you could work on. A nice effect to enhance the image would be to have the background slightly show through the glass, so it doesn't look like you slapped a picture on top of the background. One last point, for the text, you want something in the middle of the two styles you have. Not too straight and not too loose. Don't forget to keep the font color in scheme with the rest of the picture or it will look really out of place. Your second is a little better.

A good thing you have going on is that the picture draws your eyes to the center, but I guess that's dependent on what you're trying to do.

And for chrissake get rid of the star and the pink goddammit

p51hellfire 10-22-2009 02:43 AM

yes it was for a poster, we were not supposed to put event details mainly a theme and it's apparent here, my final project didn't have the star, the star is one of a lot but they have been hidden by said "chaos" lol i agree with second ones font, and doppel I am stealing some of your pics ;) ohh and hustlers toy there wasn't so necessary :giggle:

That looks really good! More detail than I ever felt like putting into one. I used to love doing that shit so much. Ive done probably 15-20 cars over the last 5 or 6 years, none lately though. A few of mine if you don't mind me jacking the thread a bit. Of course I have no idea where the finished ones are in my nearly 10 years of saved up junk data on 5 different HDD's, but I have some half way finished ones. These are the first 3 I ever did, in unfinished form. Obviously mine were geared more for the artsy/cartoon look. Notice I don't like doing the wheels. lol

Obviously not a car. One of my favorites I have done though. Probably over 1000 layers, and thats not even the final version. I kept going back to it for months and adding little bits. Its really addicting.

not too bad honestly, I like the last one the most! Did you use illustrator? I'm just a sophmore in college but I should have many more to come as I'm a Graphic Arts major

Thanks. I just used good old reliable Photoshop 7 and the pen tool, and a bunch of layers. Up to that point in the last picture probably took 15-20 hours. The final version was more like 25-30 hours total. I lost my copy of PS7 and can't afford to spend $200+ on CS3 or 4.

Nice! I thought it was a Gelgoog at first, then I realized it was the Sazabi. You should totally do a Psycho MK4.
