Default mah neu stireeng whil

I was getting too much (unwanted) attention with the race steering wheel + qr hub, so I sold it to chicks and was looking for a stocker with airbag.
Welp, everyone and their mother wants a buttload and a half for a 99-00 stocker + airbag, and the only decent deal I found, the seller didn't get back to me on condition of the wheel for a month so I decided to go another route.

Got this little guy.

I LOVE it. Hands down this is a keeper. Same size as the nardi stocker but thinner and a little more forward (if that's even an expression).

PS: before anyone brings up the bar, IDGAF. Kthnxbye
Just thought I'd share.

Sup with that bar?

The wheel looks nice and inconspicuous, I like.

Don't you know that bar is gonna fold up and cut you in half in a roll over...

LOVE that wheel. Absolutely works in that model interior. Looks like it should have been stock. I would miss the airbag, I know I miss the comfort of knowing I had one. Now sharp metal stares at me.

Did we honestly need three close ups of the bar? I don't get it, are you showing off your stitching? It looks good, genuine leather?

Before pics?

It was pretty damn nice for a fleabay wheel/hub, but the red and the whole "race car" look was just not what I was looking for in my street car

Eww, that old one was ugly. I love the small and go kart feel, even without p/s, because I'm a man!!!

eh it wasn't bad looking IMO.
the pictures don't really do it justice.

Only other thing I'll be doing to my interior is:
attempt to fabric paint the current seats (they're kinda worn/faded) to make em look darker
or
finally break down and get some leather seat covers from katzkins

I got it for next to nothing, so I figured why not.
My car hasn't been cornered hard in over 1.5 years. I'm not too worried about rolling over.

I'm already past the "I will auto-x/road race this car when I get the chance" phase and have realized I'm just going to enjoy it as a nimble street car with the occasional run through the gears at 300+whp. I have neither the money nor desire to really get into road racing like some of the track ***** here.

Do the Katzkins, I love mine. Expensive, but worth it for a daily. I tried the seat fabric paint and it helped a little, but eventually (a few months) was worn back down in heavy wear spots.

I figured the paint wouldn't last long. Thing is: my seats aren't worn badly at all. The passenger one is almost flawless in fact. The drivers is just a little faded.

I know eventually I'll either do the covers or some msm leather seats.
Did you get the 700+ ones or the 120 vinyl ones?

I'm thinking I might be able to get away with vinyl

I got the leather, so they were something like $600-$700. I think color stitching was a bit extra. So far though, over more than a year and no noticeable wear what so ever, still look brand new. Not even my shorts with metal button on the back scratch them up or threaten to rip them. Still soft and plush like new. Very pleased with them, even though could kick myself in the *** for being an idiot and trying to "improve" the driver side seat padding, and made it look a bit odd.

Honestly shop around for leather. I got my front two seats done black with charcoal inserts for $320. Win? Yessir. The wheel looks great by the way. Car's super clean.
