Default New DD (flame-suit on!)

You know that saying "My other car is a __________" where your other car is cooler than whatever you're driving at the time? Well, now, no matter what, I can't win. **** it, here she is!

Made less terrible via H&R Springs, 17x8 RPF-1, and headlight housings that were matched to the body

Also has red painted tails for a bit more normal look. Tape was for detailing
I never ever in my wildest dreams thought i would own a Prius, but its actually a really nice car. Smooth ride, roomy, efficient, reliable, bluetooth audio and touch screen stuff, just a really chill daily driver. So now I can say "my other car is a miata" (FML), and "my other car is a prius (FMLx3).

I should get a daily. But then what will I ever do with the miata.

My dad loves his prius strictly as a commuter

Ever since I got the Miata I have been strongly considering swapping the fit for a CVT or Auto Prius V.... As a long trip/daily it would be perfect.

Only issue I have with the new Priuses is the back end is fugly.

I purchased a Fiesta ST last February and could not be more pleased. I am averaging about 32mpg.

It's not as good a Prius on gas but it's also a bunch more fun. Seriously, take one for a test drive if you have the time.

Fiesta ST (Ford Fiesta) | Fuelly

My housemate had one of those. Nice power and fun to drive but the suspension was way to stiff to be a daily for me. The factory suspension was more Jarring than my miata with 750/400 xidas.

Prius makes sense if you have long commutes. My parents had one and put over 200k miles on it with the original battery.

Few shots of it actually cleaned up. Friend is a detailer and we did an 8 step process on it, turned out awesome.
I think the red tails really make it less cheesy looking. They're stock tails painted transparent red/smoked by a body shop

kind of hard to back in straight because the body flares out at the back so when one side looks straight it's really crooked as above.

That's pretty slick in all black with the RPF's. Wouldn't be my first choice for a daily but could do worse.

I've been helping a friend tune his Solstice GXP turbo with EFR upgrade. ****** gets 32-35 mpg with the cruise set to 75-78 mph.

I daily the silver car. Approaching 232K (50K turbocharged). It doesn't hurt that my commute is empty TX hill country roads.

Detailing looks good! What are the "8 steps"?

Clay Bar
Medium Compound
Cleaner wax
Scratch-x
polish
black enhancer glaze
wax

It was a long day...the steps might be out of order on my list.

Did my first full tank fill-up yesterday. Trip computer showed 49.1mpg, actually did 47, still really decent. Took 9.4 gallons as soon as the fill light started blinking, so still 2.5 gallons left in there. Can go ~150 miles after fuel is "out" hahahahaha

My local mx5 breakers run a prius as their sole company car.

Wheels aren't as cool though

I'll bet it was! Looks great though. RPF-1s make the car!

Not a Prius, but ran across this hybrid at the Drags a couple weeks ago.
