2012/6/14. First time to that track. I put myself into the novice group as opposed to the beginner group, not realizing there would be no instructor ride-alongs. So I went out naked and alone.
Session 1. The white neon ACR is on brand new sticky BFG R1-S's as opposed to my 4 year old RS2's. And it's got some power. Not having driven the track before (and knowing I am on only moderately sticky tires) you can tell I am feeling out the speeds for the corners.
Session 2, I kept going slightly faster through Turn 16 until I found where I should stop. Pants soilage avoided.
Sound pretty much sucks - going to try the closed back next time. And/or get a more GatesOfHell exhaust.
Edit: when / at what point does a Corvette driver begin to Not Suck? Seriously. The only decent Vette drivers I have seen, with one exception, have been a couple of old guys that used to race wheel2wheel competitively. Every "enthusiast" Vette driver I have seen so far quite frankly has sucked *****.
