More hardcore than Hustler in every way.

Yes sir.
That's how to do it. |
Holy shit. I would have a smile on my face the entire time. Probably handles like a iron bath tub roped to a Radio Flyer.

Wow. That is baller than hell.

Wow. That's taking it to a different level. There is an El Camino that I've seen at local autocrosses. I'm willing to bet that Mike (Doppelganger) has some pictures...

Nevermind this post.

I find those old Mercs so increadably cool. It wasn't cool when new and it hasn't been cool for many years, but now it is old and classic enought to be totally cool.
But the volvo?? Being from Sweden, I just can't ever call a 240 Wagon cool. I just wont happen. I still remember the one my parents had when I was a kid. Bright yellow wagon with braun interior and extra seats in the cargo space. My mum drove it thru a number of things without actually affecting the shape of the car one bit. |
Haha, bodyroll FTW.

How about this air cooled? We had a good time watching him, waiting for it to turn over. Those tires sounded like they were in pain.

The Mercedes beat my time by .31sec. My time is sorta embarrassing when i see it on paper I'm used to being in the top 20, not bottom :brain:

Cute that he's got the same car number as the year of the car (that's a '73 Superbeetle, you can tell because it's got the curved windshield but does not have the energy-absorbing bumpers) but classing him in ESP? C'mon, that's just cruel. I don't hate ACVWs. In fact, I went through that phase years ago. Had a '76 Baja conversion and a '71 Cabrio the same color as that blue 73 car. They have their fun points, but I would never dream of subjecting one to any kind of motorsport that involves paved surfaces. Actually, if I ever stumble across the right one, I'd likely buy a Karmann Ghia. http://www.carprices24.com/cars/volk...ann-Ghia-4.jpg |
There's a local guy that runs his early 60's beetle in SCCA vintage races. Has a 68 VW bus tow and support vehicle. Both are painted classic light blue. The race car has been raced since new. Pretty cool. He's run on a couple of the track days I've done for practice or shakedowns.
