Fast, but could/should be faster. Combination of a crappy track, not enough seat time (first time driving it in 4 months), and too low in the rear.

I don't really know what I'm talking about, but it looks like the car is bouncing mid-corner and snapping on exit. What does this mean in regards to shock valving?

225 NT-01s. I typically get 5 days out of a set. I think the "bouncing" is me struggling with a car that pushes at speed, the exit snaps are likely bumpstops from being too low. I set the rear low to try and get the diff to work better, and it didn't work. Also I sucked at the wheel, those 3 laps chopped into sectors and combined have a theoretical best lap of 1:54.4.

that's hot **** on nt-01's. i wonder what some a6's would net? 1:50's
on the snap exits: i figured that's why you mentioned you had the rear too low. probably wouldn't have been an issue on a smoother track.

Lol.. I was helping crew for a buddy this weekend at the races and he ran his A6's because he wanted to burn them off. They had 12 runs up Knox Mountain and haven't been used since. Corded about 10 laps in. And his R6's later in the day (stickers) were leaing big long black strips when he came into pits. I don't know how you guys do it down there with the temps. It was only 30* up here and tires were being problematic all weekend.

^^A6's are good for a few hot laps a session.

That 245 NT01 is going to do wonders for your car.

Yeah that's what we now know. He only used them before for Solo1 (our version of TAttack/TT) and it would only be a few hot laps. So we never ran into this before.

I'm still sitting here amazed at the grip those NT01's have. My next set of tires will not be R6's. Screw that... NT01 here I come.

Sav, do you shave them or run them full tread?

that was my next question. i think next time i'll shave them. my first event on mine was april 2010! i'm just now getting them close to just the 2 cir. lines. thats after driving on them to the track and back a few times including one trip to hallett 12hrs. away. driving them around on the street for a few thousand miles, and after this weekend, probably 35 heat cycles or sessions on them! i don't think i have enough power to get to the good stuff before they start to lose something from heat cycles. although i have run my personal best lap times at the last 2 tracks, i gotta believe the tires have lost a little grip over time. unless they're magical. there's so much tread left, i'd bet i could run the rest of the year without problem. crazy!

Firstly: I can't imagine what 350whp would feel like in one of these cars. Nice driving

Secondly and more importantly: here is a video of why hustler wishes he was a honey badger. Note the casual near-death experience with the snake at the end.

I've never bothered shaving. Emilio tried it once, said it was worth a tenth or two at beast. Driving the tires on the street KILLS them, I avoid it at all costs. If you drive the tires on the street they'll cycle out before they cord - if you keep them off the street they'll cord before they completely cycle out.

Once the 15x10s show up I'll get a set of 245/580 Hoosier radials for hot laps. With some better weather, better chassis setup, and 245 R100 slicks, I think there's a 1:49 in that chassis.
