Yup daily driver. Miata is retired to racetrack only now :)

viperormiata 03-12-2012 12:49 AM

God....please tell us you're removing the wing and un------ing the body work.

Otherwise, nice car. Got a dyno to post up?

EDIT: oh jesus, are you going to pad the cage? Got knee breakers in there???

Removing a widebody kit, ya I dont think so.

Cage is coming out asap though, I can barely fit in an s2k as is let alone with that garbage in the way. Knee breakers and head smashers lol, maybe the tiny asian dude fit in there without a worry, not my ass haha

viperormiata 03-12-2012 01:47 AM

I had no idea that was a wide body kit, lol. Can you replace the Tokyo Drift bumpers with OEM units? Please lose the wing before homeless people start sleeping on it.

Sell cage for $$$ and go to titty bar; tell bitches about your mad tyte turbo s2k

How much torque are you making? RPM? Got a dyno?

Can I? Maybe, will I? Nope. Picnic table stays, where else am I going to serve the burgers this summer???

Haha ya the cage is a serious joke, its out my next day off.

No dyno yet, PO had it dyno'd at 437whp/255wtq at 17psi.

I want to swap the 35R for a 30R before I bother with a dyno session. The lag is retarded, drives like a big single turbo supra :giggle:

Scrappy Jack 03-12-2012 09:15 AM

The lack of torque from turbo S2000s is a serious hindrance to their performance.

Why is tq so low for these s2Ks? Me no understand that.

I think you should put in a GT50r instead, cut the wing in half, glue it to your doors, and take off. :|

pdexta 03-12-2012 09:07 PM

Nice car, seems like a 30r would be a much better option at that power level. Definitely a good thing the diff is built, but go ahead and buy yourself a couple extra driver's side axles, they like to eat those too.

y8s 03-12-2012 11:32 PM

torque is low because you dont need much torque at 9000 rpm to make 437 hp.

dc2696 03-13-2012 12:03 AM

Ya the 35R is way to big IMO, I am looking at swapping it for a 3076

Iirc the tq was 255, but when it is dyno'd I'll post up actual numbers.

Thanks for all positive comments guys, everyone I've shown the car too has agreed it looks so much better in person. Drives like a dream surprisingly as well.

Faeflora 03-13-2012 12:23 AM

Please also keep the cage.

Haha rest assured the brain smasher is coming out.

pusha 03-13-2012 10:47 AM

out of curiosity, do you feel like a child driving around in it with the way it looks? I could never daily a car that looked like that, maybe I'm just old fashioned.

Landrew 03-13-2012 10:50 AM

Very nice.

Do you still do any local work - ie engine machine work ?

Are you 40? Because I'm sure the ---- not lol, and coming from owning a Miata for the past 7 years I could give two fucks what anyone thinks about my car haha

Not sure what you mean, I'm not a machinist?

m2cupcar 03-13-2012 12:53 PM

Early graduation present to self? ;) I'd def DD it and I'm way over 40! :D Sry- but that's enough power to back up that big wing IMO.

when i read that i think - 40 no i'm just not in high school any more....because that was the last time a wing like that would appeal to me
well maybe there was right after fast and furious came out.... :)

although i am closer to 40 then high school age

You guys must not get out to the track much if the wing has such a significant influence on how the car looks lol, or maybe everyone runs no aero?

Most ppl wouldnt daily drive this car maybe thats why? lol either way Im not about to pull it off and fill trunk holes on brand new paint job lol

IIRC Real St was making 700whp on a stock longblock, not to bad

kruze 03-18-2012 10:45 PM

cool ride, love the handling.

Thanks man, ya its a fairly sharp car I think, but haters gon hate lol, esp when it makes decent power too lol

Bagel 04-09-2012 09:16 PM

Nice car, What kit is that? PFab?

dc2696 04-09-2012 11:32 PM

Thanks. Love Fab, and that S2k has a 2jz in it. Check out Real Street's s2k, 9.4 on stock sealed motor now that's impressive as hell

Tekel 04-11-2012 12:51 PM

I think I love everything about that car. I would repaint/wrap the cage but leave it. Of course, I'm only 5'8" so I don't have much to worry about as far as hitting stuff goes. And pushing 450hp that wing is probably functional.

dc2696 04-11-2012 01:21 PM

I'm probably going to drop the stock seat by removing the rails, then I might clear the cage.

I'm sure the wing is functional as it one pricey ----------er, whether I make use of it is another story, although 260kph feels amazingly stable lol

chrisrm82 04-13-2012 02:52 AM

Very nicely done. I have a soft spot for F motors. And love the fenders
