I like the front bumper a lot better now that it's painted. I know it for function much more than form, but it's always looked kinda ghetto to me. How did you paint it for $18? Got anymore shots in better light?

Just finished it properly right before the event this weekend. I plan on taking some stills over the next day or so with better lighting.
I spray bombed it, again..... Fourth time since owning it. Ghetto yes, but still way better than any Maaco job I've seen around these parts.
One case of Semi-Gloss black (Krylon) and block sanding (wet) between each coat.
Did 4 coats and a final sanding of 2000 grit. Still need to put the buffer wheel to it, but clay bar and Meguiar's has been just fine for what it is.
It's a track rat....so I'm not worried about beating the finish up.

That looks pretty damn good for krylon, nice and smooth finish. Be sure to post those pictures when you take them.

Thanks, hence ALOT of man hours.
Its still a 50/50 car.....looks 50 times better 50 ft. away.
But it is nice enough finish that I am not embarassed to rock it at the Porsche events.

Looks pretty decent, especially for a track rat.

I'm new here, just picked up a 1993 black and tan. The paint's not that bad, but it could definitely use a repaint, especially on the front bumper.

I'm really considering picking up a quart of Rustoleum, thinning it out and spraying a few coats, wetsanding as I go. I know that, as you've said, it would require a little more time. Then again, I've got a little more time than money these days.
