Ojibwe forest rally pic and Block's STI after...
Well it was a great event aside form only 28 cars entering.
I brought the old wagon up again this year. The roads where washed out in a few places making it a little more hard on the car than other years. The 1st day we bannered all of stage 5. We found a tree over the finish... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3123/...d2152ed5c8.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3260/...e0853d8159.jpg So we pulled it out of the way. We also marshaled Stages 3 and 5. Stage 3 was a hidden left 2 onto a little goat trail and all but one car totally missed it. Even the sweep cars had a tough time making it. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3004/...8ba16d77a7.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2008/...4ab6c94129.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3075/...b531e5c6f0.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3138/...067fd25cb6.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3010/...a712702152.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3252/...325a47aaaa.jpg And then into stage 15 Ken Block clipped a stump that sent him into the woods. The tree that stopped the car ended up falling onto the stage ending his day and closing the stage down. Everybody aside from Ken's ego and 20 second lead, was fine. His team didn't pull the car out of the woods till like 1:30 am...I don't think they wanted anyone to see the car. But I was up and got a few pix before the team dick told me "NO pictures please!"...To late:fawk: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3244/...ed77147c1a.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3086/...01fe2cd78d.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3270/...2ed2e1c837.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3051/...d655bb3c40.jpg I hope to have some vids up soon Thanks for lookin More photos here...http://flickr.com/photos/photoeye0/ |

Excellent pictures Rick. Man only 28 cars entered??? Wow and I thought STPR was small this year... Ojibwe is a great rally, I've been up there a few times and it was the first rally I ever spectated. I'll never forget when I saw Carl Merril's Cossie fly through the air 15 feet away from me, after that I was hooked lol.
