Yep the Ultra sheild with a 5 point harness definitely keeps you in place.

Beautiful car! It's nice to see more miatas with stripes. I like the ultrashield seats, are they rough to ride in?

I think it depends alot on your suspention setup, I have kyb agx's that are set soft so it's not so bad, but there is some padding on the seat back and bottom.

/\ I didn't build mine for comfort....but I also don't daily it anymore.
My S68 is way comfy, but has some give to it and flexes.
I sat in a Buddy Club the other day and it was pure comfort. Again, just sitting.....I have not driven any distances with the seat. But very nice seat.

I have a ultrashield in my track car also, and have to say that i love mine! sometimes when i get to the track early, i doze off in the seat, and thats after a 2hr drive to the track! a correctly sized and installed racing bucket is always amazing!

Hows the aluminum u.d pully working out for you? Im debating getting one because im sick of my stock one getting surface rust on it everytime it rains. I have a vented hood btw.

That's an interesting thing to say.

man i went to a dealer to sit in an ultrashield seat the other day and I was impressed with how comfy it was. Im just not sure i would want it without a 5 point harness, back brace, and a roll bar. Thats a big investment all together though.
