******* awesome experience. Left out first thing Thursday morning after work, and spent Thursday through Sunday night out in the mountains on extreme NW Georgia (Lookout Mountain) with 1148 people. Nice private property, tons of trails, very nice bath house, large hot tub, sauna, good food, though I mostly ate at the camp site. Steak over hardwood fire, yes please. After days of sun up to sun down drinking and partying, Saturday night was the bonfire. 20' monster that burned strong for at least 14 hours until I left. Everyone was friendly, and you could just leave your stuff out in the open and have no fear of it being messed with. Birmingham grotto represented my city well with the wildest party in the place. Hot girls wrestling in chocolate syrup, raver chicks, electronic music, free beer... good ****. Live music was pretty awesome. I hate bluegrass, but Packway Handle Band played for us Saturday night for 4 or 5 hours in the cold. Pretty awesome stuff, since it's not traditional in almost any way. Would be worth the $50 NSS yearly membership just to be able to attend.

Basically. Though we have hot showers and don't stink. And it's cold out, and not hot.

 

Looks like my kind of party. Backwoods bonfires and alcohol!

 

That seems like a great way to start a forest fire! Definitely sounds like an awesome experience.
