This is where the bang bang comes from. 3 inch FM downpipe with a little turndown. Rust free!

I'm getting ready for some custom mandrel bends and a muffler. Then I'm going to pop out that dent.

I think I saw you driving on I-75 out of gainesville about a week ago.

Hmm. If it was me I was probably trying to auto tune on the highway. I really got no other business on the freeway!

johnmatt 03-25-2010 03:36 PM

a few weeks old but I saw your car last night at gainesville raceway. Looks good. I was there with the guy that blew up his clutch in his TT Z32

turotufas 03-26-2010 03:22 AM

Thanks. I still need a front bumper and passenger side mirror though. :giggle:

I didn't get to see the z32 before the clutch went the other night, wish I did.

johnmatt 03-26-2010 09:20 AM

Did you happen to see what the Turbo Cobalt SS ran? Damn thing had slicks up front and skinnies on the back. I really wanted to see it run

TurboTim 03-26-2010 09:53 AM

I thought those wheels would get you banned here.

Car looks great, I love that turndown! Badass.

I didn't see a good run but my friend told me its capable of solid 11s. It stalled three times during the burnout on the only run I saw, something must have been off. I think its just a street car too.

 I was fooled when they first came out. A guy offered me 300 for them...

johnmatt 03-26-2010 03:41 PM

Damn that's badass. Did you see any of the black GTO with slicks? He already had it on the trailer when I was leaving. I've seen it on the GTO forum from when I had mine but that's the first time I've seen it in person. 10.26s in a full weight 4k pound car isn't bad at all

turotufas 03-26-2010 10:00 PM

I remember the GTO! There were some badass cars.

A few of the will be at the road course tomorrow.

:fawk: Car came with a cover, took it off a year later and suprise! Bumper fucked. Temporary fix with wire from an alternator and old paint. Reduce, reuse, recycle.

Shoulda got 'coilovers'

Junkyard finally produced some goooo shit. Today I found some Coils! I wasn't even going but my friend dragged me along to source some parts for his 1JZ swap. With 10 minutes til close I found em, finally! At 10 bucks a piece with connectors.

Cleaned up the water neck. Sub $100 coolant reroute and COPs is going well. At 60 bucks right now. Just need the spacer and stuff.

Got my seat mounted a few weeks ago. Made a bracket for the front and the rear is bolted straight through the floor. The drill went through the floor waaay to easily, scared me a little.

Good find on the COP's!

I want that seat soooo bad. Are you gonna daily the car with it in?

turotufas 04-15-2010 09:39 PM

Right now I'm driving the car as a daily. I think the aluminum seats are comfortable so I'm keeping it in. I can switch to the stock seat whenever though.

Its a really nice seat!

johnmatt 04-16-2010 07:43 AM

I'm on my way to steal those COPs and that seat

I did my civil duty. Called the police for the first time ever for a little accident outside my house. Silly scene kids. :giggle: I even cleaned up and directed traffic for them before they arrived. That way they can go away quicker!

So how are you liking the seat so far? Is the bottom still unpadded?

I think its great! A great improvement. If you're thinking about getting one, do it!

I've been driving it without the cover. Everyone told me that the seat was uncomfortable, I said no. But after playing basketball and hurting my back I say I need to use the cover. I need to stretch from now on too.

johnmatt 04-29-2010 05:55 PM

I've been looking at the Kirkey seats which look familiar to yours. How much did you pay for that seat? I've got back problems from being in a roll over when I was younger so I'm slightly concerned about it being too stiff but shouldn't be anything alittle padding can't fix

turotufas 04-29-2010 06:26 PM

http://www.vickracing.us/cgi-bin/sto...ml?id=a9svkzhJ

I paid $240 with the cover. The shipping was about 40 more.

johnmatt 04-29-2010 06:34 PM

What degree lay back did you get? Not a bad price either with the cover. Any interferance with shifting?

turotufas 04-29-2010 09:12 PM

It's a 16 inch, with a 20 degree layback. Shifting? No problems there for me.

I talked to a guy with the TDR Rally Sport seat and he said it's better than the Spec Miata seat all around. If it was my size I would have tried it out for myself.

johnmatt 04-30-2010 01:03 PM

I'll let ya know next time I'm down that way and maybe I could try it out

pusha 04-30-2010 06:09 PM

I should have bought that same seat.
