Default Greetings from MN

Long time reader first time poster. I'm very thankful for the wonderful info on this forum! Knowledge level is above and beyond what you find elsewhere.

My go fast addiction really got going in my 20's with motorcycles. This led to my first taste of closed course riding and I was hooked. Decided to try my hand at MX/dirt riding for awhile as well. As I have gotten older (mid 30's), the risk/reward from 2 wheels isn't what it once was. Picked up a '92 miata back in 2012 and haven't looked back.

Didn't take long and I was back on the local track (Brainerd International Raceway) attending my first HPDE in the miata. Had a great time, learned a lot, and already wanted more.

First changes were focused on making me fit better in the car. NRG quick release, dished wheel, and a foamectomy. Next came 1.8 brakes, SS lines, and FM sways. Car has been like this for a few years doing a couple HPDEs every summer and spirited weekend drives.

Rest of my tinkering has been all maintenance. Shifter boots, starter, clutch trio (master, slave, SS line), alignment bolts, FM rails, plugs+wires, ect.

Future plans are very modest as I'd rather spend money on track time and instruction. Good suspension, seat/harness, and Road America are on the short list.

Thanks guys!

Welcome. I am from the Twin Cities area. We (NF Performance) are in the works for planning a few track days at DCTC this spring / summer. I assume that you are running BIR and DCTC if you are doing track days with the Miata. You'll have to come down and run some laps with us.

Not really. I came from the MNSubaru world, and they didn't have love for MNAutoX. I also am more of a track day / driving school / multiple laps type of person. I haven't dropped any money on AutoX as my learning seems to grow after I have put down a good amount of laps. I tried MNMazda, but that site is a joke.... it is a graveyard. However, I will hit you up on this site when we lock down days with DCTC.
