94 Turbo from Australia
Gday Folks,
Thought i would check in and stop lurking. Heres a pic and the specs on my car....Its not my daily driver, just a toy for weekends. Car is a '94 MX-5 Clubman. This model came with Bilsteins and Type 1 Torsen from the factory. Its fair to say it has been thoroughly modified from there :giggle: http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/9...ar2noplate.jpg Engine: 1.8 with full AVO kit GT28 Ball bearing turbo AVO Manifold AVO Dump AVO intercooler Custom made 2.5" exhaust (metalcat to be fitted) Turbosmart Boost controller Turbosmart BOV RR Fuel pressure Regulator Walbro fuel pump 360 cc GTX injectors (i have a set of 550cc waiting to be installed) Air intake temp sensor Link G4 Storm ECU Carbing Strut brace 50mm Cooling pro Radiator Body Garage Vary front lip Matt Black Hardtop Black window frame surround Brown Davis Roll bar Craftsquare CF Mirrors US "R" Package rear lower spoiler (to be fitted) KG Works Ducktail Spoiler (to be fitted) Underneath Buddy Club JNR Spec Coilovers All Bushes replaced (Offset Camber type up front) Exedy HD clutch Goodwin V4 Big Brake kit with Wilwood 6 Piston Dynapro option Wilwood Brake proportioning valve Master cylinder stopper 15 x 8 6UL 225/45/15 Kumho V70 Type 1 Torsen LSD Beatrush Triangle Diff Brace (to be fitted) Flyin Miata Butterfly Brace (to be fitted) I think there are a few other things that i have forgotten, but anyway.....this is my 4th NA MX-5 having bought my first one in 01....this one is a keeper though and will be used regularly in supersprint (time attack), motokhana (autocross) and the odd skid pan day or hillclimb. The missus will also be using the car for track events, she starts her advanced driver training next weekend on the skid pan and skid circuit (she's passenger in the above pic)...the best thing about this is that i can get away with modifications and "repairs" pretty easily as its for her too..... pretty much any mod is for "safety" or otherwise neccessary if you see what i mean :giggle: There are a few other modifications planned, more power....better seats etc. This site looks like a great resource so i hope i can learn a few things |
Wow Australia, welcome! I expected to see you running a haltech or microtech!

Thanks mate. The kiwi (New Zealand) Link came with the car...feature wise it looks good, and most importantly my tuner is familiar with it. But you are right, most Australian cars will be built with an Australian ECU.....Motec, Haltech, Michrotech, Wolf etc.
