Hi,

My name is Mike and I am from the Boston Ma. area. I have been autocrossing a number of cars for about 8 years now. I currently have a 99 Miata that is going under the knife this winter. My plans are for a turbo (Begi or FM..no need to get into that debate though), Afco coil overs, 275 Hoosiers, Poly suspension bushings, fender flares etc. The car already has Recaro Pole Position seats, HD Roll Bar, FM Butterfly brace, brake upgrades, multiple sets of wheels including 6UL's both 8 and 9 inches wide etc.

I have to say this is the most fun car I have autocrossed. My previous performance cars were 92 SE-R, 95 Cobra, 99 Cobra, 01 WRX, 03 EVO, 03 Cobra (heavily modded). I never leave anything stock.

Anyway, I am happy to have found a site that appears pretty knowledgeable and hardcore. I do tend to lurk and gather info

I would list car/mods in your sig. like everyone else. You also might want to change your title to "nice to meet you"...

you have an impressive list of previous cars, though there is no such thing as an 01 wrx.
post some pictures of your ride, I am curious to see it.

I might also add you have a very good list of future mods, hope everything goes well.

Good luck, The kits are pretty easy to install.

What type of fuel management are you planing to use? And how much RWhp do you want?

Sorry about the "too" Fixed it, thanks. Not sure what you mean by "there was no 01 (2001) WRX" because there certainly was. Am I missing something in your comment? It has been a long week with the kids home from school Thanks for the advice on putting my car/mods in my signature. I will take care of that.

*edit: WAIT, the usdm 2 liter turbo "wrx" came out in 02...anything before that was simply "impreza".....am I missing something?

No problem, as I said it has been a long week Mine wasn't as fast as yours but I did get it to run a 13.2 in the 1/4 mile after a mod or two.

I am planning on using either BEG'is new Zoom 3 or FM's Voodoo Box depending on which kit I go with. My guess is I will end up somewhere near the 200whp mark when all is said and done. I don't want to give up low end kick for top end power because this car is primarily going to be used for autocross. With the mods I have planned 200whp should be enough to hold off the Z-06's, Vipers, GT3's etc that I autocross with.
